Does anyone else listen to Jim Rome? (Plus awesome audio)

Anyone else here listen to the Jim Rome show? I've been on this forum for awhiel now but haven't really seen anyone give Rome his props. And for those of you that DO know who he is, I'm gonna give you a gift here.

This entire show is just stupid, and I hated Rome at first, but after you get used to it he's actually really funny. Plus, he gets mad props for constantly calling Jim Everett as Kris Everett and taking a punch in the face for his humor/douchebaggedness. Anyways... dap for Rome!
 
I use to listen to Rome at lunchtime til his show got pulled of the local Baltimore radio station... quite suddenly too IIRC.

His catchphrases were a bit annoying, and his habit of stopping...... while speaking and/or in the middle of sentences worked the nerves, but he did have some good interviews and I use to love when he'd read the faxes and emails from his clones.

That's weird he still has 1300am listed as an affiliate... maybe they switched the broadcast time on me....

:lol just checked 1300's website... he's nowhere to be found... which reminds me you know Dan Patrick I really like his show... he's so much more loose on the radio than he is on TV....
 
See, I used to really like Patrick, but he comes off as even more arrogant than Romey does. When Rome comes off as an arrogant prick, in the Jungle and to the Clones and shit, it's like he understands that it's just a big joke. But Patrick seriously thinks he's awesome.

Though, if I could listen to Kornheiser over the net right now, it'd be no competition between him, patrick or rome.

Edit: Seriously, if you've ever listened to rome, you've gotta listen to the audio I put up. It's freakin' awesome.
 
I don't see how anyone can like this guy. All he does is spout BS all day. That whole publicity stunt was BS. He started his career on BS and never looked back.
 
Use to listen to Rome, but haven't for some time. I do like his guests, but his "schtick" gets old.

I actually saw the episode of that old show on ESPN when Jim "Don't call me Chris" Everett went after him. Classic stuff! :lol
 
Every now and again. But I dont listen to the radio much during the day until I leave for work. By then Chris Myers and Brian Cox are on.

He did a great impression of a child molesting carney a few weeks ago.
 
Love Rome. He started up here on Canadian radio about 5 years ago and I've been a fan ever since. I didn't clue in that he was the same guy from the Chris Everett table-throwing incident until someone pointed it out to me. :lol

Dan Patrick is pretty good as well - I don't mind the arrogance at all, I find it amusing - but the radio show lost a good chunk of its appeal when Dibbs got the boot.

I also miss Dibble. The show was much more entertaining with him onboard.
 
I quit listening to Rome after a few years. The James Brown show on Sporting News is waaay better.
 
LOL this video is awesome....:lol :lol :lol gotta hand it to him. The guys got balls for standing his ground. Everett could have been way cooler about that and been like "Man, that's bullshit. Why you keep callin me Chris?" but the moment he threatened Romey on the air, it was over. :lol


EDIT: By the way, the best email I ever heard was about a year and a half ago. It was right after Kellen Winslow flipped out and was like "IM A FUCKIN SOULJA!!!" then stomped off. The email was like, "Dear Kellen, why don't you save the real fighting for the TRUE souljas. Signed, Kevin Garnett".

just such a timely email, :lol
