Does anyone here use boosteroid?

I want to play Silent Hill 2 and this is my only option. I know it’s entirely user dependent on experience with connection and location from their servers. I use gfn and it’s flawless and I know that’s the better service. But can I still have a good experience playing this? On the connection test it only says it’s ok, not excellent. I see that there’s a 4K option like GFN, is this a good tier to try?

Their interface looks a bit weird. They don’t advertise some games on their front page but if I search for SH2 it appears to be there. Btw this is with the app on my tv.

Holy crap is boosteroid a pos. I signed up to see if it’s good and it’s unusable. My controller doesn’t even work for most of the games. On GFN it’s perfect on any game on this most of the games don’t work with this controller. It even says it paired the controller but barely works. Biggest waste of $20.

Mmmh ? I'm playing SH2 on Boosteroid and it works perfectly, I plug my MacBook Air on an external screen, launch Boosteroid and plug an Xbox Series controller and it works flawlessly, I tried with a DualShock 4 and same, works perfectly, it's basically plus and play and it looks like playing native, as good as GFN for me. I've a very good connection though.

No idea why I’m not having a good experience with it. Some stuff works while others don’t. Also how the hell do you enable 4K? Every game only shows 1080p and I signed up for the 4K tier.

The first time I booted it up yes the game was in 1080 but I went into the tab "graphical options" or stuff like this and put it in the 4K resolution and since then it boots on 4K.

For the controller maybe plug it BEFORE launching the app? I dunno because I always launch it after plugging in the controller. :)

Where is this tab for settings. I don’t see any setting options at all. Only reason why I subscribed to this was to play SH2 but I don’t wanna buy this and have these controller issues. Maybe I need to try a different controller for this service.

I’m not sure what happened but the service seems better now. Now all of a sudden I’m able to pick 4K res and controller support seems to be better. Did they roll out an update? The connection seems to be random though depending on the game. Was playing bioshock infinite and control and a few others and they ran flawless. But RE4 demo was near unplayable with lag.

I tried it a year ago, and it was pretty bad. I played some cod on the lowest possible settings with very noticeable lag.

I also tried it maybe 2 years ago. GFN works perfect for me but boosteroid wasn’t great. I think a lot depends on you location in relation to their servers.
