Does Anyone Else Like Thunderstorms?

Y'all got any more screenshots of the Uncharted 4 islands?
of course! See few from this part of the game. It's from my ps5 playthrough last year. need to get to it on pro! 4k60.

My Uncharted lithograph from the PlayStation Gear store is that scene.

That's great. I would even drill a hole in the wall for that!

Right next to it I have the Hunter's Dream Bloodborne lithograph. I bet most would want that one more.

Sure, I loved them…..and then a tornado got DANGEROUSLY close to my home a few years ago. Like, houses only half a mile away from me were completely wrecked, luckily there were no fatalities as it only touched down briefly IIRC, but still. Being in a basement hearing 100+ MPH winds outside and then hearing my mom break down in tears as she calls me and I answer and tell her I'm all right, yeah, that changes your perspective on things.

Now thunderstorms can kindly fuck off (yes, I know thunderstorms don't always result in a tornado, but they certainly don't help), and anyone wishing for them sounds like they might as well be hoping they get to play Russian Roulette to me. Calm and collected weather for me, thank you very much.

I was in the same camp of liking them until a hail storm in 2020 trashed our house, golf ball sized breaking windows and shredding siding. At least our cars were in the garage, but yeah, made the whole storm experience a lot less fun. We get some tornadoes here too from time to time, but only had got the warning to take cover in the basement once (nothing formed, fortunately). Kids were pretty freaked out on that one too. So yeah, storms can beat it now.

Thinderstorm while You are swiming on a lake , pon or Even a pool is a great experience....

going under water while hearing the storm (rain, thunders) is amazing.

yep. Rain, thunderstorm, snowstorms are the best.
Especially when it's night and you are sitting and playing video games.

In games same deal honestly. I especially like overcast weather in gaming.
Like Uncharted 4 island level when thunderstorm approaches. BEST IN CLASS

Or recent ac shadows.
HOLYYY the wind picking up

Naughty Dog has always been at the forefront of technology and pretty much the only studio who understands how fast water flows downhill. Rockstar also does a pretty good job but their water is more of a simulation a lot of the time rather than hand placed waterfall environment art.

I really wanted to see them do a dragon riding game like LAIR but in their own engine. Imagine flying through a thunderstorm.

Yes, they're perfection.

I always liked it in Pokémon Sapphire as a kid. After you awaken Kyogre the weather changes to heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Rain and thunderstorms are my jam in games. I legit play GTA5/openworld games nowadays only to use the thunderstorm cheat code to drive around and relax. I had such high hopes for tech advancements in physics, weather, and world simulations from the ps4 gen onwards and yet here we are.... I mean I would be thankful to have storms on this level of fidelity and impact be commonplace in games:

This ran between 40-60fps in realtime on a damn 970 btw.
