A few years ago I stumbled upon a gore site and became disturbed but also morbidly intrigued by what I saw there. I do not take pleasure in seeing others suffer, but real depictions of death and severe bodily injury attract my attention because they uniquely convey the fragility and mortality of human beings - and drive me to think of my own. However, they're also - obviously - disturbing.
Hence, I used to go through periods during which I would view the latest additions to that gore site daily, which would be followed by periods during which I would avoid it and eventually stop thinking about it.
However, a couple of months ago a coworker told me about another gore site, and it seems to include even more graphic depictions of death and injury. I've been visiting it on and off since then, but I want to stop visiting it completely...but I can't help myself.
One thing that the two gore sites with which I'm familiar have indicated to me is that South America is the most brutal region on the planet, especially Mexico and Brazil. What do you guys think can be done to stop the violence in these countries?
