Does Supergirl ever not suck?

I have watched 4 seasons of Arrow and one of flash and I cannot believe how bad Supergirl is compared to those mediocre yet still entertaining shows. Does it ever get better?

Also, what is the deal with SG having the same "white person pining for black person who is in a relationship with another white person" plotline as flash? Like, does CW realize that Asian and Hispanic people deserve to be in dumb ass love triangles as well? I am honestly not sure they even know Asian people exist.

it gets worse with each progressing season imo.
How is that even possible? Does SG have like 25% of the budget of flash or something?

Kinda sucks considering the actress that plays Kara is hella cute, and not bad at her job.

the budget is on par, the practical effects are not bad, its mainly the writing.

Hmm, I wonder why flash looks so much better to me visually then. Maybe SG villians, and their designs, are just not well done or something.

I remember back before SG premiered one of the people on the writing team basically said in an interview they thought Arrow didn't go enough in "the politics of the day" and that there was to much fighting. SG was going to comment on current events and blah blah blah.

They just have a different focus than the other CW shows I guess.

It sounds like you're in the early seasons.

It gets so much worse. They start pushing politics from the left, ad nauseam, every episode. I don't know if that's something that would bother you, but I can't stand entertainment as propaganda, no matter what side of the fence I sit on.

It's kind of a shame, because as was mentioned, the actress is great. I can't imagine a more perfect match for this version of Supergirl. I even kind of liked Season 1, sticking through the bad for the good.

There's an alternate world where after a couple of seasons, this became just as awesome as early Flash and Arrow.

Last season she was fighting these MAGA-like guys who were screaming "Earth first!" and they wanted to get rid of all (illegal) Aliens...

Each CW show has its niche....

Supergirl = preach-fest with almost every episode about how women can do what men can while downplaying Superman's legacy

Arrow = gritty morality play, where Felicity can't grow beyond being a teenager in a grown woman's skin who just happens to be a genius and Team Arrow can't get their ish together and Ollie always feels guilty

Flash = semi-lighthearted morality play, where Barry takes on the weight of the world even though he has the best team ever to help him through his issues and enemies and he somehow messes it up near the end of the season

Black Lightning = dramatic action family story where it's equal parts action show and family drama with superpowers and an actual compelling villain... Shorter season allows better storytelling

Legends of Tomorrow = who the eff cares! Let's make our own rules! Wheeeeeee!

The other shows have hit and miss seasons, but overall I've loved the CW Arrowverse shows, especially Legends of Tomorrow, which manages to balance a lot of stuff the far left typically love, (female leader, bi and gay characters, rainbow cast of ethnicities) with a drunk, crass, angry guy with a flamethrower who created a three titted, nymphomaniac, alien babe, amazonian, warrior queen who doesnt talk, but that he bangs constantly, using a magic book he stole. It's weird as hell but awesome

Supergirl meanwhile is a streaming pile of shite that I've tried watching every year, but it's just unbearably awful.

Someone post the SG SJW montage

You mean this shite?

Christ on a bike, there's a few of these montages too.
I haven't really watched SG. I love The Flash as a character but the shows can be incredibly cringey too more often than not, worse still when they shove all this agenda into it as well and dedicate entire episodes to it.

I'm sure Supergirl is a powerful figure to little girls but they're superheroes, they aren't meant to be serious. Batman while being businessman Bruce Wayne is one thing, feminist, political super-girl is another.

bing her name and add nude after.

I honestly haven't really noticed a lot of politics in SG. I mean there is some second wave feminism stuff and some really poorly done immigration digs but

The beginning of that video reminded me how great of a body the actress has. Too bad they hide her legs as much as possible for the rest of the season.

The show was dead on arrival when they decided to diversify her love interest, Jimmy Olsen. Couldn't make it 10 minutes into the first episode, and this is coming from somebody who watched every last episode of Smallville.

Personally I don't watch the TV Show people always say she's stronger and more powerful than Superman because she beat him in that show. That's her show obviously she's gonna beat him you can't have him win on her show. I believe Superman is stronger and more powerful than her. He is stronger, faster, durable and more experience also he holds back and she doesn't Superman is the Strongest Superhero along with the Incredible Hulk and the fastest Superhero along with the Flash (not as fast as Flash) and Quicksilver. As for your question I don't really like the show never cared for it doesn't seem interesting to me. Hope my answer helped thank you.

I can't stand listening to the dialogue in any of these modern superhero shows. They always have a scene with stupid awkward banter between two characters like something you'd see on CBS primetime. The serious scenes aren't much better. Overly familiar idioms and contrived dialogue by the villains (see Crisis on Earth-X). But pretty much all network television (ABC, CBS, FOX, CW etc) feels like it has the same mediocre, half-baked writing. You might as well be watching something on cable or Amazon Prime instead.

I just hate it when I watch a show and realize I finished what the character said on-screen before they did. Stuff like "This isn't over... not by a long shot." Or when they use a well-known line from a poem that sounds ominous but no one actually talks like that.
