Yes. Because it does. The older you become, the faster time is perceived.
That's my biggest fearTime is fucking flying for me. Next year I turn 50, my kid just turned 13, and my 30's feel like they were a few weeks ago.
Kinda sucks.
Yes. Because it does. The older you become, the faster time is perceived.
Time is relative and also a flat circle.
Yup. Remember being a child? And waiting for Christmas to come and how every day moved slower than greased molasses and that it was "never going to get here"? Nowadays most of us see December 18th and freak out on "wasn't Thanksgiving a week ago!".
Which is do lame. Shouldn't it go the other way? When I'm 65 I want a day to feel like a month. LolAs you get closer to death it does.
Yes. Because it does. The older you become, the faster time is perceived.
Yeah. I believe the older you get, the less highlights there is. You've seen it all and done most of the things multiple times. Less highlights means there's less things to stick in the memory. If you want time to "move" more slowly, do something new or untypical every day.
Time is relative and also a flat circle.
It's an awful feeling. Older you get, not knowing when you'll die and it might be soon, than you do an activity and tell yourself, well enjoy it, it'll be the last one in your life. That's my biggest fear
What..? The more fun you're having or doing something new the faster time is perceived. Thats how it goes, not the other way around. It's when you're just bored out of your mind when time is perceived slower.
Same. Sleep less folks.35, and have felt the opposite frankly. Not saying time has majorly slowed down, but I feel the years in my 30’s have gone slower than my 20’s.
Yep. Each unit of time represents a smaller and smaller portion of your life as you get older. Weeks feel like days nowIt’s basic relativity.
The longer you live the shorter our measure of time is in relation to that lived time.
Retrospectively. When you look back, a year seems to have been longer as there are more things to remember.
Of course time goes faster when at that moment. We spoke of two different things.
The man in the moon speaks the truth.
No that makes no sense. "Time flies when you're having fun" does not have a predefined time. It applies to months, years, decades, etc. People will always be like "damn time sure flew by fast, cuz I did a lot of stuff". Absolutely no one is going to say time went by fast by doing nothing or being bored, lmao.
It is about memory and retrospective perspective of time. Looking back a year seems to have been going slower if you have spent doing new stuff and faster if lived by following routines as there are less things to remember.
