My copy of Zoo Keeper (canadian, from videogamesplus.ca) seems to have a problem. It doesn't 'sleep' when the lid of the DS is shut. The game keeps playing, much like the Metroid Prime demo, or a GBA title.

However, today I tried a copy from a friend of mine, who has the UK version. His copy goes to sleep just fine, as you would expect.

This is quite an annoying bug, as the zoo keeper sessions can be rather long, often longer than my 10-15 minute train ride, so I don't really play this game much as a result. Is it just me?

Naah, there's no sleep mode in the US version. If you pause it & close it, though, the screen goes off & the game stays paused.

Sweet, the Euro version has a sleep mode. I might sell my JPN copy and grab one of these instead.

Weird. I thought the sleeping was built into the hardware, and wasn't a software thing at all.
