Great shot!
Eh not really. I resized to prevent having an even bigger wall of images more than to smooth out the pictures. I was playing full speed at 1920x1080 and 16xQ CSAA with those pictures... you'd have to dig pretty far to find a jaggy. Plenty of other imperfections though. Muddy textures ruin a lot of TP's appeal today.
TP has a glow in a lot of areas, something to do with the lighting. Are you sure it's not that? Can I get your dolphin build and settings please? The build I'm using has this weird glow effect that I can't seem to get rid of even after trying all the obvious solutions.
Also, while I'm here, does anyone know where I could get a save file from after The Thieves Hideout dungeon in A Link to the Past? My emulator fucked up and I lost a dungeon or two of progress![]()
I think I switched from Q CSAA to 4x internal res near where I stopped playing (snow temple), but I don't have many screens from there. It's been a while, but i think i played through Skyward Sword with cleaner AA, probably why it looks sharper.Yeah my issue with those pictures in response would just be that they're way too blurry.
If it were that resolution, with the clarity and sharpness of the downsized shots, I'd be hopping in to play right now.
Thanks haha. I had fraps set up to take a lossless .png every two seconds. Same for Skyward Sword. I have like 30GB of Zelda screenshots saved on an old hard disk... Kind of sucks to sort through.Great shot!

My build Is like a year+ old... Haven't played since Skyward Sword came out.
Is Rogue leader still an unplayable mess? If it's finally playable, I'll be firing up Dolphin again.
Still nothing. Freeze after 3 seconds.
sorry about the nitpicking, but is that technically correct? The image just being resized wouldn't indicate that it wasn't real time, it's the same effect as running the internal res at a higher resolution than what your monitor's res is.
It seems downsizing screens of TP helps hide some of the muddy textures as well as upping the contrast for a better overall perceived image quality at 720p.Yeah my issue with those pictures in response would just be that they're way too blurry.

Personally i'm just curious to see what it would look like running in dolphin.
Hope you guys don't mind. Here is one more batch of screens, this time SS at 1920x1080. Much better looking game.
IR worked perfectly for me. I used a Nyko wireless bar.Awesome screens Crunched... im in the process of playing the game on dolphin but i've been having trouble with the IR function of the wiimote... it is skipping like crazy... Any chances you've ran into the same problem? and if so, share the wisdom on how to fix it!
Are the Mario Galaxy games playable with no sound/music bugs now? I tried last year and even a 2500k wasn't capable if I remember correctly.
Regardless I have mine OC'd to 4.2GHz now, is it possible now?
Yes, but you'll need a USB adapter. The controller itself doesn't matter so long as its compatible with a regular GC.Just out of curiosity, is it possible to connect a gamecube controller to the PC? If so is there a specific type I would need?

Something like this:

It's not mentioned whether it supports rumble and the reviews seem to suggest that it has sensitivity issues with the triggers, so you might want to shop around and do more research. Ebay is probably going to be your best bet at this point.[/QUOTE
Thank you.
Can someone help me. I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the game freezes after the first grand star boss.
Is there a fix for this?
If it's like Galaxy 1, you probably need to disable sound. Do that every time you're going to pick up a grand star.
Thanks Crunched.
Or setup your DSP LLE
which requires a lot more CPU power...
Yeap, with the benefit of fixing any kind of audio related problems but yea it is a resource hog.
Lowest slowdown I've ran into was the last Bowser Castle, which could dip down to a low 70%. You might also notice some slowdowns in some boss fights/intesive galaxies like Shiverburn, but nothing below 80-85%.
i5-2500k @ 4.4 GHZ. If it wasn't for using the LLE plugin it would probably run at 100% constantly, but it needs LLE for music and sound to work properly.
The DoF? Yes, but why would you want to? Nintendo did a great job with it, one of the best in-game implementations yet. In motion it looks like an impressionist painting. I was more impressed with Skyward Sword's DoF than I was with The Witcher 2's that year.Is there a way to get rid of all that blurriness?

It will look weird in some instances on Dolphin regardless of any settings, simply due to being rendered in a higher-than-intended resolution. It stands out in stills but still looks nice in motion (in most cases). On a typical SD display the effect renders pleasantly, due to the blur... dolphin makes it cross-hatchey and sharp.I know what he means though. Nintendo did a good job with it, but Dolphin doesn't emulate it correctly so it looks sort of weird and super blurry. I'm trying to find a fix but nothings coming up yet.
Supposedly, the HLE audio system is being massively revamped between 3.5 and 4.0.
I actually like it better alias free and cross hatchy than low res and smoothly blurred. I think I'm just gonna stick my settings, I sort of enjoy it.
Can you provide a source for this information? I've been browsing the Dolphin forums frequently and have not seen anyone mention this.
