I didn't think Dolphin worked on a Mac...but it does, and it does well!
I put in Wind Waker and had it running 1080p 4xAA and it looked great.
I have no way to play it at the moment...but still...nice to know I have the option.

I tried that, it seemed to improve the button lag at first, but after a couple of minutes the controls went back to being laggy again :/ Weird.hioh631 said:Just wanted to let anyone that was also having the button delay with DKCR I fixed the issue by using LLE audio. Thought I'd post that because I always hated never finding out the answer to something because the person never responds back after they fix it for themselves.

lol "fullscreen" is so poor. Widescreen is the now.Orayn said:Or just force 4:3 as nature and Nintendo intended.![]()
I'm okay with a little anachronism for the sake of an unstretched HUD and no weirdness brought on by expanding the game's intended FoV. Black bars are my friends.Gvaz said:lol "fullscreen" is so poor. Widescreen is the now.

Anyways, is that displaying right or are those characters just funny looking?
Synless said:Ok, I finally wanted to give this a shot. The problem is the emulator won't recognize any of my game discs. I have a harddrive that I use for USBloader that has my games on that as well, but my computer wants to format it to whatever format it uses. Is there anyway to get around this problem? I'm just trying to get this things set up so that when Xenoblade shows up I can play it in glorious HD. Also, how does SSBB run on this thing?
Thanks, I actually went ahead and reformatted to my computers format and now USB loader won't install anything unless I go back to WBFS. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I will try that program you linked.Robobandit said:http://wbfsmanager.codeplex.com/
This will access your wbfs formatted drive and let you extract the isos to your computer..

Yeah, thats what I was saying, but for some reason it won't install my games at ntfs format, so I had to bring it back to wbfs in order for my games to install. I wish I would have waited just a few more minutes before I reformatted, this is going to take forever to reinstall all my games.Robobandit said:You'll have to re-rip your games at this point =/
I know that configurable usb loader will read a drive formatted as ntfs or fat32.. maybe try it that way.. either way you'll have to rip your games again since you formatted the drive.
I have very similar specs and can run most games well. But i'm also overclocking the shit out of everything.Synless said:Edit* Sweet, it is all working now. Ok, I am running a Windows 7 on a macbook pro. It has
Intel Core i7 2.2GHz quad-core
4GB 1333MHz
750GB 5400-rpm1
Intel HD Graphics 3000
AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5
Is this good enough to run anything well? Rather, what settings should I use to play games like SSBB?
Are you running Dolphin 3.0 or one of the nightly SVN builds? What kind of CPU do you have? While having a nice video card certainly doesn't hurt, Dolphin is more CPU than GPU dependent. Realistically, you need a modern dual core or better CPU running at least 3.0 GHz, and the closer to 4 GHz or beyond, the better. Intel CPUs tend to perform better, but you can can get decent performance with a good AMD CPU. Post your CPU specs and which version/build of Dolphin you're using.SuperAngelo64 said:I've been trying to get this thing to work all night, but no luck.
I've been hyped for PSO2 and I wanted to go back and play some Episode 3 and take some screens. Ripping the image was a breeze, since I've done this before but I can't actually get the emulator to work.
I'm running Windows 7 x64 and my card is a GeForce GTX 460.
Anyone else experiencing any issues? I can't even get the latest version to run.

Unfortunately, it looks like the NTSC version of PSO Episode 3 is screwed up. The PAL version is supposed to play perfectly, but the NTSC version hangs. Major bummer. I actually own the game as well, but I haven't had a chance to rip it and give it a try. I've been busy playing through the Tales games.SuperAngelo64 said:I've got an Intel Core i5 Quad-Core 2.80GHz and running 4 gigs of RAM.
I'm not overclocking anything because I'm not pro.
I'm running the v3.0 build.
fake edit: While doing some browsing I just realized the problem may be because I need to update DirectX
Nope. Keep getting this error: http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh108/SuperAngelo64/error.png

I would check the Dolphin forums before shelling out money for a PAL copy. It's possible that you might get it to work with different settings or by using one of the nightly builds. I just did a quick search and I found other people were having the same issues you're having. The last email in the chain was a year old, so it's possible that there's been some progress made and I just missed it.SuperAngelo64 said:Bah.. maybe I can find the PAL one for cheap on Amazon. Thanks for the heads up though, I've been racking my brain since 11pm (it's now 4:50am).

I apologize that I can't verify that it works well with the emulator. I just lurk here for the screenies. I can attest to it working neatly enough, I've used it with Nestopia and Spiral Knights with little fuss.
The one issue is that its possible for the OS to grab the device before WiiJi does, in which case I just have to disconnect and resync. Its the only solution I've found so far that recognizes the analogue sticks.
Anony said:for the i5-2500kers in the thread, i dont see the point of overclocking cpu, as my stock 2500k runs SMG2 and brawl 99% of the time at 60fps (no AA, but i can turn on MLAA and change that percentage to 98%) at 1080p
(by this more of a gpu issue)
now, of course you play other games, but what i'm trying to get at is that you dont need to overclock your 2500k to play on dolphin
