Hey guys,

Maybe SH can edit the OP: Here's the link to how to update the teams/overwrite the teams so that you have current and historic teams: http://www.planetcricket.net/forums...uted-teams-download-steps-included-86402.html

This way you will have all the current teams with the current players on how they look and who to look for when making downloading them. :)

Neogaf user Zapages asked me to create the OT because he is a junior member and can't post new topics. I think this game is suppose to be a lot better than that Ashes one (the one that was pulled from steam). OT was created by Zapages as well

Enjoy

Ive just found out (yesterday) that its been confirmed for UK release on 360/PS3 next week, went to look at pre-ordering and saw it was £43-£48 in most places.

Hopefully they come to their senses and drop the price, i'd be very interested in picking it up as it looks great but the price is just too high even for someone who doesnt mind buying day one.

right...

anyway if you are planning to buy the game. Please post your PSN/xbox or Steam id's so fellow neogaffers can play together. Also. share your impressions!

btw does evilore allow links to other communities or forums? Zap posted planetcricket links. I will remove them if it isn't allowed

Ah, the non Ashes Cricket game I have been looking forward to for a long time. Even gone out and bought a control pad so I can play it on PC.

Watching the IGN AU video, game looks pretty good. Nice color and depth of field effects. And the ball physics actually look competent! Very nice

I reckon this game will get a Metacritic review average of 99.94 and it would have got 100 if not for some troll reviewer who gave the game 0

Not convinced, but I could be tempted if the reviews are solid. A cricket game with anything remotely approaching the polish of 2K or The Show will always be the dream...

Love the marketing bullshots...

The PC nets demo was decent. Will wait for the PC version, but yeah early feedback seems positive.

I really enjoyed the nets demo. Kinda tempted to give this a whirl on PC at some stage - will add to wishlist!

Nice OT, too!

A lot of the animations look ugly to me but I don't want to hold a relatively low budget against them. If it plays well I might be inclined to give it a go.

I'll buy this if Irfan and Chicko have a match together.

haha... We can have our own T20 world cup and other Cups during the seasons as the community will be making and keep on updating the teams.

I ordered the game already and can't wait. Hope to see some of us have our own little league. :)

The game is amazing. Career mode is a huge time-sink and the amount if customisation and options is just ridiculous. My only gripe and a very small one at that would be that the game unnecessarily complicates basic things and controls. Easily the best cricket title to be ever made.

Thank you for the impressions. Which system and online ID? Let's form a GAF group, I think Zapages is interested in that

PS3. Dont play online much but there is some weird animation where the bowler freezes momentarily before delivering a ball which is visible only if you are bowling. While batting its smooth despite your opponent facing the same issue.

Man, can't wait for the Steam release. Looking forward to avenging the Ashes and replicating this Summer's India series.

Wow that review was very positive, I can live with the issues they dont seem major and it does seems like they put a lot of effort into it.

Any written reviews from sites so far?

Here you go: :)

New review:

http://ugeekonline.com/don-bradman-cricket-14-gameplay-review/ with video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUc5ggW7C4Q#t=12

Although there is no score for the game. Overall it seems like 8 or 9ish from the sounds of the game

Something to add to the OP with more reviews that'll come in. :)

That's what I am wondering about now also... would certainly be more interested in a PS4 version.

Yes it is, but it will be coming in the Fall or Winter of this year. The official representative from BigAnt on Planet Cricket confirmed this. :)

I'll buy this if Irfan and Chicko have a match together.

Urgh. As long as they both use team lineups from the same year, this might be tolerable.

Haha.

Well, arguably, 2001-ish India and Australia were their respective nations' best team ever.

I will be interested in playing whoever when this comes out on PS4.

I just hope it is as good fun as Shane Warne Cricket on PS2.

IGN gave it 6.8
http://au.ign.com/articles/2014/04/07/don-bradman-cricket-14-review

'An ambitious and enthusiastically-crafted sports sim let down by a few too many bugs and design quirks'

hmm… The first patch is coming up that will fix the bugs that they have discussed… Yeah I can definitely give them the super human fielders.

The review was a bit harsh. Also folks have been saying on the official forums the bowling is a bit easier than the batting, which is interesting to find out.

That's a pretty good opening line from the IGN review:

Don Bradman Cricket 14 may bear the name of the greatest batsman to ever play the game, but the finished product is designed to behave less like The Don and more like a certain modern day member of the Australian top order. It’s extremely capable and occasionally brilliant, but with a tendency to undo all of its hard work with the odd baffling error in judgement or apparent technical fault. In short, it’s the Shane Watson of cricket games.
