Donkey Kong Bananza worlds are based on hollow earth conspiracy. You heard me!

It's not too crazy since King Kong is also based on this conspiracy, but Donkey Kong's world exploration is based on an old conspiracy called Hollow Earth or inner-earth realm. The tl;dr of this conspiracy is that within the earth, there are old worlds that still live on today. One of those beliefs states that's where dinosaurs live and giant apes, snakes that are giant, etc. Some worlds have alien robots, nephilim (giants), and fallen angels. It was such a popular theory that some of the greatest science fiction from the early days were based on it, included Journey to the Center of the Earth. Heck, even the Nazis were (supposedly) looking for the entrance in some of their conquests, with some believing the Ayran aliens Himmler and morons like him were looking for were within the earth using the Ahnenerbe group.

Anyway, do you think the collectors edition will come with foil?

I'd appreciate more threads like these. Love it.

Edit: I just saw the direct, game is looking stupid good.

Semi-related; I think Hunter x Hunter's current story emphasis on new, unexplored land beyond the border of the known world and kept secret by The Powers That Be feels a bit inspired by alternative earth shape views/thinking.

You may be overthinking this
I'm not. This isn't crazy. Lots of media use hollow earth stuff in film because it's good sci-fi if anything. Also given that King Kong is legit one of the most popular hollow earth movies of all time and this game is named after Kong, ya know. Plus the direct shows them doing exactly what I described.

Wait wait wait, what if.. .what if global warming is not a lie BUT we've been led to believe it's because of us just so they don't tell us the truth about it being produced in the center of the earth by their mutant dinosaurs and experiments?!

They basically watched the American Monsterverse movies and were like yeah this is so cool when Godzilla and King Kong go to the Hollow Earth we should have Donkey Kong do it

The Earth in Journey to the Center of the Earth has island sized pockets with living fossils deep within the planet not a hollow Earth. The entrance to them is briefly opened by tectonic plate movement.

Note I didn't say I believe it but these Kong titles are based on this crap. Less than 100 years ago, people actively did believe it. I can list a few dozen books and elites that even believed it. Some big shot pharma guy in the early 1900s believed it, even claimed he went there and saw magic mushrooms and men. I'll try and edit this with the guys name when I'm not busy.

Again lol I don't believe this. Lots of stuff are based on wild beliefs. You think some guy in a room said ya know what, aliens. Ya know what, giants. Ya know what, robot aliens who also are giants. No, it's based on stuff people believed. I am just calling it out because it's funny and I love wild threads.

People care too much. It's a new awesome looking Nintendo game. Don't think too much on why the thing is the way it is.

I know you're not a nutter…but I wanted to used that gif 🤣

Why is everyone thinking he believes this? He didn't say he did lol. He's only mentioning an inspiration for the game or a connection. Didn't know that about King Kong though, makes sense with DK being influenced by it.
