I got dragged about to some clubs, and since I can't stand the atmosphere or the gangster rap, I just went straight for cheap liquor and had a pair of Jack n' Cokes and a straight Jack. I'd venture further up the whiskey chain if I cared more for it, so if anyone has better recommendations I'm all ears.

Odd that I should be able to participate in this thread since I usually the only thing I drink is coffee and tea.

Haha. Actually, I've been without my computer for about three to four weeks. It's a long story involving multiple reformating of hard drives and installations of XP, remnants of hurricanes knocking out power during data transfer, etc. Oh, and a birthday drunk of epic proportions(I woke up the next day with a mystery bump on my head, a burn on my thumb from a flaming doctor pepper shot, and no knowledge of what happened the night before) and then a return to my Buddhist practices after years of abandonment.

But yeah. I'm back, I suppose.

i tried some Sam Adams awhile back and holy shit, it was like someone was putting aspirin on the back of my tongue with every drink. special hand picked good tastin hops my ass... they're rubbing their hops in aspirins them fucks.

anyhow... drinking some of this coors light stuff right now and buzzin. sucks tho because here in Oklahoma, we only get 3% alcohol beer... unlike most everyone else in the world. so we have to drink lots of this shit.

You probably got a bad batch. Sam wipes the floor with Bud and Coors. (The metaphor is appropriate, because I happen to think Coors and Bud both taste like the water in a janitor's bucket.)

If you want a good go-between the two, there's always Heinekin. But really, if you can find either or, try to get a bottle of Fat Tire or Magic Hat's Blind Faith. Microbrews are always better.

Friday night I actually passed out on my bathroom floor. My friends gave me a pillow and threw a blanket on me.

nah, i've tried heineken (sp?) before and pretty much hated it. i've tried some mexican beers before, some corona (meh), bud (no), bud light (meh), coors (no), MGD (meh), Bush (meh), Pearl (barf) and quite a few others (hated them usually).

i had basically resigned myself as to someone who just couldn't stand beer. i just didn't like how any of them tasted. until i tried these coors lights. we went to Outback Steakhouse earlier today and I got a Shorty Coors Light (draft CL in a small frosted mug) and I mean to tell you... it was OMFGBBQ good. easily the best beer I have ever drank. it was soooo smoooth... like no harsh feeling in the back of my throat when drinkin (which is a turn off for me) and it tasted actually pretty good in a way.

anyhow... i am convinced. coors light i am staying with. i will kill a motherfucker before i try another shitty Sam Adams... even got my wife to try it and she thought it was especially aweful.

p.s. there seem to be a big difference in how they taste by the matter in which their served (to me at least)...
