Don't drink eggnog, then drink soda.

I was at a Christmas party last night and had a Cub of eggnog. About half an hour later I was eating pizza and had a soda to wash it down. The two liquids mixed and I think released gas or something because I became so per gassy and eventually stated vomitting

In the over three decades I've been alive, I haven't tried eggnog... not even once! Hell, I don't even know what it smells like. I have no desire to ingest something so poorly named and disgusting looking.

It's pretty much like drinking really thick melted vanilla icecream. With a hint of nutmeg.

I'm 31 and still don't know what the fuck eggnog is. It's just something that pop's up on the Christmas episode of US shows and then goes away for the rest of the year.

Well it's great, but i'm glad it's only seasonal. Way too many calories. Mixing it with rum is yum.

I feel like you're trying to trick me with promises of ice cream :(
...thankfully you mentioned nutmeg and I came to my senses realizing that nutmeg shouldn't be in ice cream. What an abomination that thing is. One of the few things I'll hate in life with no real exposure.

It's like seasonal herpes :(

Eggnog and pizza is what fucked you up mostly likely:

Tons of dairy, even if you tolerate it, that's massive amounts of dairy.

I'm lactose tolerant and drink milk regularly, but when I have milk and cheese in one day, that destroys me.

Egg Nog is great. But its not something you usually mix with things that aren't baked goods. Pizza + Egg Nog is likely what got you pumping more gas than Russia.

I think I tried to mix Advocaat (alcoholic eggnog) with Red Bull once because I was already drunk and wondering what it would taste like. It basically curdled in the glass, not the kind of thing you want going down in your stomach.

I enjoyed drinking eggnog while I was in the US for years.

It was rather good and it gave me no stomach issues at all. Maybe because it was store/commercial brand with pasteurized eggs.

But Cook-out makes eggnog milkshake that's very thick and tastes amazing regardless of nutmeg, which you will forget about when you try out the milkshake~

Edit: Never had eggnog + pizza now that I thought about it...I don't think that I should.

Eggnog is just one of those things you have to taste to know what it's like. Describing it's taste is futile.

Egg nog is just milk with egg yolk brought to a simmer, heavy whipping cream whipped and folded together with egg whites. Bourbon and rum is added to the milk and everything is all folded together. Delicious.

Silk Soy Eggnog is the only nog I fuck with. The other NA stuff is too rich and the real shit is just gross IMO. The thick consistency and color makes me think of bottled horse semen.

No one is working with me here :( The real problem is how do you get rid of the eggs!

I always wanted to try egg nog, but I don't know where to start :(

Ingredients

4 cups milk
1 cup sugar
12 large egg yolks
1/2 cup bourbon, (optional)
1 cup chilled heavy cream
Grated nutmeg, (optional)

Directions

In medium saucepan, whisk milk and sugar over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, 1 to 2 minutes. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks. Whisking constantly, pour hot mixture into yolks in a slow and steady stream.

Return mixture to pan; cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, until thick enough to coat back of spoon, 20 to 25 minutes; do not let simmer. Quickly strain into a bowl. Stir in bourbon, if desired, and cream. Cool completely; cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate until chilled. Garnish with nutmeg, if desired.

Give it a try, it's good and it's not like you'll have to drink it again if you don't like it.

Nutmeg is just something people often add into it, in addition to rum or bourbon.

Really it's mostly cream and vanilla that has been caramelized. Pretty much like dulce de leche. It does have egg in it, which thickens it. But you don't taste the egg. Similar to how you don't taste egg in french toast or cake.

But how many statements of vomit per gassy?

Commercial eggnog has like 1% egg yolk and milk put together. The egg "taste" isn't there at all like some are suggesting.

Unless you're allergic to eggs, then there is likely one without eggs and without dairy, but it won't be named eggnog per se. It will end up tasting like eggnog is supposed to.

Oh, and store ones won't have alcohol in them obviously.
