Hello, friends!

-In the last year, we have seen Door Kickers being released on mobile platforms, with iPads, Android tablets and phablets getting full attention from us. We designed a new interface taking into account touch based interaction, fingers covering the screen and all the issues related to how people hold tablets in their hands. And we’ve made it easy to import your PC saves on to handhelds and back, to continue your strategizing wherever you are.

We must have done a pretty good job as Pocket Tactics named us runner-up to strategy game of the year 2015 – just in time for New Year’s Eve Champagne!

Since you guys are the greatest fans in the world, we made sure we delivered back – so all our direct customers got the game on Android, as an extra freebie. We also worked with modder extraordinaire Red Panda to get the first mods on to the handhelds, which is not often seen on those platforms.

Based on your feedback, we’ve also translated Door Kickers to popular languages. You can now play the game in English, French, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish, with other languages in-progress over at the Steam Workshop.

Last, but not least, Door Kickers has been picked up by publisher UIEG.DE. Expect the game to hit retail shelves in February.

As 2015 has come to an end, it’s time to talk about the future, and the future is Door Kickers 2 … and more.
DK2 brings the step to 3D: environments, characters – but keeps the clear and easy-to-use top down perspective and hardcore, unforgiving action. It keeps the real life action but moves it to a new and exciting setting. And it changes … everything.

Oh, are we being a little vague? Yes, we are.
On Sunday, January the 17th of 2016 you will know more. In case you wonder, that’s exactly 3 years after we let the first news out on Door Kickers.

So stay tuned, and have a Happy New Year!

Nice! Never got around to the first game, but I might just pick up the Android version in preparation for this.

I've bought the first one on the steam sales too but I'm not excited for it as I think it is worse than Breach & Clear.

The first game was a thoroughly well put together game that didn't exactly click with me, but I realized that it was doing an impeccable job at what it set out to do.

Just picked up the first game during the sale, I'm really enjoying it. Glad to hear there will be a sequel!

Oh fucking yes.

Funny thing, I had a huge disappointment with Breach & Clear when I bought it some months ago in a Humble Bundle. Compared with the smoothness of Door Kickers, it felt almost unplayable. Terrible experience.

just started the first one about a week ago, and i am loving it.

it's like my favorite parts of OG rainbow six fleshed out into such a dope game.

Fuck. Yes.

Door Kickers is one of my favorite indie games. Glad to see it getting a wider retail release and a sequel. I can't wait to see what they can do with 3D environments and such

Really? Don't get me wrong, I loved B&C on mobile, but it felt kind of shallow and lacking compared to what's on PC in the genre, mainly Door Kickers, The Masterplan, and Frozen Synapse

Yay, I really enjoyed the first one. I'm interested in what the "new and exciting setting" will be.

Yeah, I think sci-fi is the best guess, considering how they emphasize that the gameplay and action of the first will remain, but the setting will "change everything"

A sci-fi setting could potentially lead to some interesting gadgets and weapons. On the other hand, since they say the gameplay will be the same, they can't really go overboard. I guess we'll see soon.

Fantastic news. Being followinf them since alpha of the first game and loved every step they made going through development. Will jump in on the first opportunity. This team deserves it. As for setting I would like a good ole switcheroo. Instead of breaching tactics, defend a hostage, a VIP a building or equipment from being snatched by enemies. Could be cool. Give the same tools and tactics to the AI.

Door Kickers is dope. Play it if you haven't yet and have any inkling of interest for tactical games. It's my go to when I only have my laptop to play on.

I'm wondering what sorts of twists they'll put on the game in Door Kickers 2.

I was hoping for a contemporary military setting, more like B&C but with the better gameplay that Door Kickers has. Extracting hostages from a jungle village, storming an oil rig etc...

Oooo didn't think of that. Sci Fi could be cool. They could either keep it up just humans or they could add in different types of aliens and monsters which would really switch up the gameplay.

If they keep it grounded in realistic modern day tactics, I could see the switch up being fully destructible environments. Just blowing through walls, and floors and stuff. Which would explain the need to move to 3D.

Interested nonetheless in what they come up with.

I could see this as well. Maybe blow the scope out a bit with larger military battlefields Maybe even expand it with vehicles.

Imagine escorting a tank through a narrow city block, having to hurry through and take out assailants in the adjacent buildings as the tank moves down the street.

Another thing, 3D means they could have levels with a Z-axis. Imagine having your troopers on a roof and fast-roping through a skylight or through a window
