yeah I nabbed one I'm reading it destroys the previous gem tho that's absurdly stupid
yea it does suck. I don't understand why they just didn't make it so you could switch "styles".

Yeah they really need to make it extractable that's just dumb as fuck.
Ok someone on reddit confirmed you can hammer out the gem but it destroys the arcana.
LOL GJ VALVE NICE FUCKIN SCAM. wat a joke
agreed they should just make it so you can't replace the gem color at all so people shut the fuck up about an added feature

Socketed with a gem that tints the coloring of Terrorblade and all of his abilities
I wonder if they already have additional recoloured spell icons and minimap icon for the non-red prismatic gems, or if that's coming.
Why are people acting like the destruction inherent to the gem removal is some sort of shady scam? This is consistent with the way gem removal has worked since it was added to the game. I mean, I agree that it kind of sucks, but this revelation should have occurred ages ago and it's better than not being able to replace at all.
Also, someone used the Blossom Red to make this pink-ish TB:
It's not even that dude you can't access the fucking feature without permanently destroying your $35 color purchase. Don't even try to defend this. They could easily make the gem extractable without destroying the arcana. I paid $35 for reflection's shade and then I'm paying an extra $3-10 if I want a different color. This is the least they can do.

Easily done, just create a white template set of icons and colour-correct them against the given gem.For every possible prismatic gem color? I fail to see how that would work.
Since they can't automatically adjust to the gem (like the particle effects), they probably just stay red no matter what.
Should've jumped on white. Creator's Light was $8 last I checked. Now? ~$30
This has been in the game since November. Why would TB's arcana suddenly work any differently than the couriers, some of which are several times more valuable than the arcana?
Also, let's see that black arcana. Still deciding on mine.

Yeah I have the black gem laying in my inventory, I wanna see screenshots before I slap it in though.
The Arcana should have just had some preset colours that were styles like most other sets in that vein. It's stupid how it isn't like that.

Edit: After looking at these for a while I believe this is an empty arcana not black
That's a fair point. But this:
"Socketed with a gem that tints the coloring of Terrorblade and all of his abilities"
Is not a complete enough description. It should be as clear as it is on the blog post and said something like:
"Change the color of his abilities and weapons with Prismatic Gems from the marketplace!"
And if that was the idea (for most to pick and choose their own color), why not just make the gem a common, existing color like standard red? That way people don't feel like they're destroying a fairly rare gem color. After all, there's no indication that this gem color will appear in any couriers or similar.
I have to admit, the fact that it's a unique gem is making me pause before overwriting it forever too.

Kinda wish they showed which cycle you get your courier from. I got 290m first cycle, then 31m second cycle. Got 1 jadehoof out of it though, so I'm happy.
All this arcana talk making me jealous, I want some arcana for heroes I actually play, damn it!
Is there a preview option? I know the Unusual couriers have one for what different effects will look like. I guess there is no reason to be in a rush.
Tough choice between ships in the night, verdant green, black, and purple. Wish there was at least a preview feature.
I really do find the Prismatic Gem in it a cool feature, far cooler then the Lifetime Duel wins gem. I hope Valve goes back and adds something cool like it to the Lina Arcana, and actually look forward to what other small things they put on items.
Ok, white is legit.

I just see 4chan.org
Yep just see 4chan, please reupload.
Reddit makes a decent point, I do wonder if this means Valve will start selling Prismatic Gems on their own in the future.
