Starting to feel the pull of DOTA 2 again. Played a couple of 10v10's over the weekend with some friends but it's not enough. I can't reasonably split my time into half a dozen high skill cap games and expect to improve on any of them so I think it's time to just whittle it down to SFV and Dotka.

I appreciate the advice from you and hylian. I was mainly joking about the Peruvians and know about the auto translation, one of the things I tell friends about when trying to explain dota.

The venting wasnt about anyone being bad, I think he's higher mmr than me anyway, but just his attitude and not knowing how to keep playing with him. I can't change his attitude. Told him to ignore things, mute players, "relax, you're doing fine", etc. Nothing gets to him once he starts.

The tomes is a really good idea to help him as tomes, raindrops, and wind lace aren't bought by him that i can remember. All three of them can help him with survivability or positioning. If he feels he's making more of a contribution he might have a better attitude.

I think we may have lost Imp_the_Pimp. He's in Sicily and he believe that there are public transport services down there, he contacted me saying "our bus is still not here plz help u italian". He is probably on some scam bus service right now being coerced to give up all his fabolous german riches RIP

Well at least he got to see something good before ripping in pepperoni.

dota is really just a personality testing service, no facade survives contact with the dotes.

you can explain this to your friend in the hopes he gets it but that's his true temperament. in my experience the only way he'll change is if he's forced to play a bunch of solo queue with other goons that'll throw games at the smallest perceived slight.

there's little more humbling than seeing others behave as you do.

I just want to say that ever since I started playing this game that I hated slark and I hate him even more now. I swear that he alone is the worst hero in the game because of how annoying he always is

I find that in ranked, if your team isn't built to contain him and he is a last pick slark, almost immediate GG.

Especially from a support player point of view. If my teams makes me pick my support hero first, I can't make my pick always thinking about slark.

I agree and I think dealing with Slark is more of a core pick thing, although you could argue that you should pick supports that are good against him but cover other bases well too.

I've gotten better at beating him as the patch has gone on. Sure, he can be annoying, but you just need burst to make him panic and be afraid to come back, as well as stuff like well timed Orchid use.

The bus eventually came after not coming on two scheduled occasions. We were pretty close to panicking as a taxi would have been like 100€. Waiting in Rome right now to take the plane to Berlin so it all worked out. Sicily was fantastic. I highly recommend giving Enna and the Scala dei Turchi a visit, both of which were my favourite attractions. Taormina was good but touristic prices ruined it a little for me. Palermo however is outstanding and affordable with low German salary.

Funny thing is he was the worst player on our team.
And we totally won 4v6.
