It's useful to some degree, especially in the regions where VC hasn't come in and boosted player salaries to unsustainable levels in the current ecosystem, and laying a backbone for stability is good. The fact is that that base pay should not limit what players/orgs/talent can do. There's a wealth of information and organizations out there now that do things properly.
The fact that SMITE has a bigger prize pool and better monetization for orgs should make some people wake up, but hey Dota isn't even installed on the computers at Riot so
The rest of the points Monte brings up and other things that have lain around a lot are bigger problems that need addressing now, or rather, long ago.
More people need their hands in the LCS pot. All the skin money going to Riot with no cuts to anyone is crazy. $4,000 in team icon sales issub-optimala flat out joke for any organization.

I think you've got it the wrong way. I think they want the crowd to feel closer to the players. Still think that there should be soundproof booths, though.

It was a rag tag group made up of 5 rejects before the transfer window closed.
Surprised they didn't disband as soon as TI was over
pretty sure i read on the league subreddit they didn't use soundproof booths because they want the crowd to interact with the players and the players "be a part" of the crowd

Well, whatever the reasoning was I think we can all agree it's stupid. That's been my stance for a few years now. Especially knowing that there have been times the crowd has given away ganks.

The new 'Crowd' feature has a 20% chance to alert you when an enemy is near you but you have no vision of them. This feature is exclusive to the LCS, as we felt that predictability was causing the game to stagnate a bit.

The Moo family is like the biggest e-Sports advertisement group ever.
That's ice cold of them to let him go, hopefully he finds a solid team.
Without his rat skill they wouldn't have made it to grand finals, I feel.
Also my friends take me to LCS events, and I'm going to worlds in October.
The room they had us in for a regular LCS set of matches was smaller than a late night show room. You could totally hear stuff happening. It was a lot of fun though, since Dota doesn't come near L.A. for whatever reason.*

Exactly this, when timber gets a bigger adjustment down it won't be 100% P/B material and Moo's pool needs to expand. He can be a great player, just needs to work at it.

I mean if you know one of the players well enough to be a go between for sponsors and such, it makes sense. But it seems like a conflict of interest IMO, having one's SO be their manager.
Blitz as coach too. Dunnow what to make of it.
Stupid tanky. Good CC. Good late game as you pick off a support or two to initiate and get massive damage stacks. Coordinated boots of travel is dank.

What's the deal with drums-first batrider, anyway? That's the first thing I think of when I think of moon.
He buys it because bats need to have good (ear)drums!

I think Moon also skips lasso at level 6, which means there's less reason to get a blink. He plays Batrider more by abusing firefly/napam stacks etc to burn people down in the early/mid game, and Drums helps with that with the move speed/attack speed/tankiness Later on he does get a blink/force staff to play batrider as a proper initiator.

Ugh, always feels bad when you get no relevant crits on a PA game.

Carry only players with a good head on their shoulders are impossible to get matched up with. 95% are Complete egotists that give up incredibly early, are the first to start the blame game, and have no clue how to analyze the team comps.
Your team could be one of the best base defending teams and have a strong late game carry VS a team full of mid game heroes that fall off late and you will STILL have someone on your team calling GG before your base even gets touched.
Mentally, people are so weak in this game. It's not their ego,babe rage or whatever, they are just mentally weak. If they get punched in the mouth, they don't even think about the best way to punch back. They just fall to the ground like a rag doll or recklessly throw themselves at their opponent in the same way that got them punched the first time.
