Have a team with an Axe, Slark, Invoker and Sand King picked. Last idiot goes "I am not pick support" randoms SF and proceeds to end the game 2-18 spending the last 10 teamfights or so happily jungling away. When Slark DC's he unpauses the game. Man fuck dickheads like this.

Whats a good carry counter to void?

I think Alch's probably good in theory? You basically want somebody that's hard to burst down in Chrono. Damage over time is also pretty good to avoid having all your damage time walked away, as is some form of lockdown.

Given that Alch tends to build tanky with armlet, Radiance etc it'd probably be hard for Void to burst him down. Stun/Radiance burn is good against time walk too.

If the game goes really late, there arguably isn't one. He can attack you for five seconds uninterrupted. If a late game hard carry Void gets you in the Chronosphere one on one, he can do, conservatively, about 12,000 combined damage (for example Daedalus-Divine-MKB-AC-Desolator-Moon Shard with Travels). The -12 armour from Deso plus AC means that most heroes will be at maybe 50% damage mitigation, for, very roughly, 6-7000 real damage as delivered.

I don't think there are many reasonable carry builds that give you enough HP to withstand that. Skeleton King can pop ult and stand to fight after the Chrono is done, but who else? If Void gets you in the Chrono, he wins.

The real solution is to have supports.

I guess I should probably update that ol' emoticon extension.

I ripped the two new ones for whoever is looking after the greasemonkey script as well.

I feel like the way to get ahead as an Australian playing Dota is to play on the Chinese server instead. Kpii and Ana do (although they both actually know Chinese)

What do you guys think the best way to actually make improvements stick is? I can watch one of my replays and think "ok I should be doing something right now" or "I should be in a better position during this teamfight" but it's difficult to keep it all in mind during future games.

Keep playing. Not the most useful answer, but any 4k+ player has thousands of hours (I'm pretty sure every single 4.8k+ player on here played had MOBA experience prior to Dota 2 as well) so clearly, there is a huge correlation between time spend with the game or the genre and one's skill level. I can't think of any shortcuts and since you seem to keep up to date with pro players and the meta, there is little else you can do.

Getting coached by a better player could lead to the fastest improvement I think.

It's not easy, but I do think it is a case of doing just that. I personally have just made a habit out of constantly asking myself "is this the best thing to do right now?" Which was very good at getting me over that hump of spending slot of time wandering around.

Not a carry but I like picking dark seer against void. Have people with shell on them or casting it onto them while they are in Chrono can mess with him from getting kills since he's taking damage. Also if he has teammates trapped inside they have no way to get away from the damage either. You can use vacuum to slow him down from attacking if your outside of it as well.

Remaining calm and randoming (or picking outside your comfort zone at least if you don't want to Russian roulette the last slot of your team in a ranked game). Learning to play more heroes better gives you a better sense of the whole picture of a game. Being that support that smokes mid early instead of the mid that sees the pesky supports show up in your lane to ruin your lane.

There's nothing wrong with playing your favorites sometimes, but you should not get into a habit about spamming 2-3 heroes. I often got in this rut and have just started randoming lately and done much better in general. Had some bad games last night, but I also was not feeling that calm for other non-Dota reasons.

why did it crash?

It didn't crash. Some person unboxed it and either didn't know what it was or it's a method to launder items from banned trading accounts to legit accounts. IE use a stolen credit card to buy 1000 benefactor chests and then sell it to a waiting clean account with the highest steam offer bid.

I remember when I used to read. Who has time for that? Kindle on my desk in a state of neglect. These episodes of Total Divas aren't going to watch themselves tho.

Ya, no idea what the point of doing the maker on 3DS is if you can't share levels.

And only 3D Picross? Fuck that
Never really been into Picross, so I don't have a valid opinion on that.

I haven't watched the video of that Pikmin game yet, but honestly it didn't sound bad to me. Definitely not up to the standard of the other games, but still good for a 3DS Pikmin.

Am I the only one who's happy that we can freely swear and say negative stupid stuff in Dota2?

So my little brother got permanently banned in League of Legends by just saying "BOBO" = "Stupid" which is really stupid.

I'm really happy that Valve didn't put a censorship in the game so we can even freely talk trash to other people without having any consequences, unless your really that negative towards other people in game. and I sometimes talk trash to people and i haven't got muted for that. sorry for the bad grammar. just wanna share my opinion. THANKS!

I hope heartstopper is changed next patch.

It is such a boring ass ability.
Boring yet effective with passive play. I agree it needs a change, but I'm just not sure where they could go that wouldn't be a downgrade. Something that costs mana wouldn't really help as he doesn't have a stellar mana pool to begin with.

Maybe give an active that turns up the heat, but has some other downside. Like, toggle it on for a 5x increase in damage, but you drain 10% of your max mana a second. Or they could have Necro heal by the amount it damages, making him super tanky.

As a lower MMR player, Heartstopper makes me laugh.

Like when we play against a Necro who goes HS first, my carry would be so scared to fight him. I'm like "Yo he's weak and only has aura, pop a tango and smack him in the face"

For some reason people just can't math in my bracket when Necro shows up.

yall already forgot about heartstopper minibash?

The heart attack...

So is ranked random draft really unpopular? I was queuing for close to 3 hours last night before giving up. I don't know if it matters but I'm at 3.1k mmr. Should be 3.4k but they closed international ranked too early. :(
