Anybody else get a popup notification on Twitch that they're beta testing their HTML5 player? I got it when I opened it on Firefox but not on Chrome. Ran them side by side and it's shocking how much better it looks on the html5 player.

Haz runs the PC building thread doesn't he? So in a sense asking here is pretty good too.

Other than the bog standard "bla bla fast CPU bla bla good GPU bla bla get an SSD" advice I'd suggest trying to find the budget for a GSync Monitor. They tend to be pricier, and will lock you down to Nvidia's graphics cards, but it helps smooth out visuals very nicely.

I dont understand how he hasnt gotten any fucking better. Back when haunted Colosseum came out I tried invoker for real for the first time in my life. I felt like I was playing with my feet, it was awful. By maybe my 5th game I was getting the hang of it, 10th game I was a god. Yet this dude whos a TI player does shit like ice wall into tornado into refresh into ice wall again...

I'm happy about my gtx1080 but except for my Vive it feel like a waste on my 5 year's old 1080p 120htz monitor.

The fact that we got a patch 6.88c and 6.88d makes me think that 6.89 is quite far away. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get a patch till next month maybe? Have they said anything about when the next major is going to be?

I have a water cooled 980ti and it easily hits 120-140 fps in Dota 2 at 1440p, maxed out. I stick to 120 and downsample a bit.

? When you say "release a new mwta" you mean a new balance patch? In which case, yes it would make sense to release it with Monkey King. The fact that we got 6.88c and 6.88d means that 6.89 is probably some time away, otherwise you'd just roll the changes into 6.89 instead of releasing the tiny patches.
