Dragon Age: Inquisition massively oversold EA predictions (LTD: 12 million)

Boring af game.
It's incredibly beautiful, the world is great, but the game itself... It just felt like playing a boring repetitive mmo, but alone.

I think I tried like 3 or 4 times to get through this game, but could not. It's not that it's bad...it's just not Dragon Age as far as I am concerned. Al I ever wanted was a proper sequel to Origins.

At this point all I want is a remaster of DA: Origins so I can play that masterpiece at an accetable resolution and framerate on console! That game is crying out for a remaster the 360 version is garbage.

It oversold because DA:O was absolutely amazing. DA:2 everyone knew would be crap due to the tight timeline of release after DA:O

DA:I, everyone had such high expectations, years in development, on Frostbite engine, all signs looked good.

The game was absolute trash and I say that considering for me DA:O is one of the best games I have ever played.

One of the most forgettable games I've ever played. I've been struggling to remember anything from it since I first saw this thread earlier today.

Dragon Age inquisition passes all the tests for an open world RPG, and I loved taking down high dragons

it was the last great Bioware game, I had a blast playing through it, such an intense armosphere and interesting characters/story. Hope they'll deliver the same quality with Veilguard.

I really enjoyed Inquisition. The PC port was definitely not up to par - the controls in particular are pretty awful - but the actual game itself was pretty good. Needed less MMO fetch-quest non-sense, but I loved the position of the Inquisition in the world and the Judgements the player was asked to pass. Actually, I don't think I ever played the DLC...

I need to play it still. I have heard the best way to play is to skip through some early area as soon as you can? Otherwise it gets bloated/boring.

In seriousness I beat this back when it launched but not the DLC.

Honestly I dont remember much of the story other than every fucking NPC calling you inquisitor.

Meh they won't tell us how many they sold at the bargain bin 20$ GOTY edition they shit out, The game released in 2013 and selling 12 million in 11 years across 3 generations is nothing to brag about.

Vast majority of games don't hit that sales milestone, so that's certainly not 'meh' and it's worth bragging about.

All I am saying is most of those sales are at bargain bin prices of 10-20$ for the complete edition. The 12 million looks like a good number but what % of those are full 60$ sales?
Numbers like these are disingenuous as Borizon zero dawn also sold 20 million copies with most of them at heavy discounts

Whut? How is it better than Origins?

By looking better, having better writing, better characters, better story (with trespasser), better soundtrack, gameplay is by taste by i heavily dislike the high encounter rate of Origins, at least in Inquisition the ares are more open so you can avoid a lot of shit.

Inquisition had some things going for it. It was talked about as a return to form after DA2 which was totally ass, it came out in a very bad year for vidya, it legitimately looked amazing. I liked it, but kind of fell off. They should have done a PS5 patch for it. I would play it again.
