I would be fine if they decided not to do the Buu saga.

If they don't air the Buu Arc, they will be effectively be ignoring the final chapter of the Manga. Not a smart move considering its supposed to be faithful to the "Z" arcs of the Dragon Ball manga.
It was supposed to end with Frieza, goku dying a warriors death and saving the universe. Editors said no.
It was supposed to end with Cell, Goku passing the torch to his son, living a peaceful afterlife.

Unmei no Hi truly is a perfect song for that moment. That moment really was many, many years in the making for the character and it was handled perfectly. No stupid inner monologue like in the English version either. We can see perfectly fine why he snapped with the visuals alone. Even the original narrator's lines were handled better.

Thinking about it the only bad part about ending the show after the Cell saga is that we don't get the awesome redeeming speech that Vegeta gives when Goku is fighting against Buu.

I hope they do the Buu saga. I gave up somewhere in that saga when it was first airing and I'd like to see it in full. I always liked the Gotenks failed forms. And the Buu stuff up on Kami's tower was cool. Well, at least it was when I first saw it. Who knows what I would think now that I'm older.
I know this is ridiculously late but I haven't seen the thread pop up in awhile. I personally find her voice to be much closer to 4Kids than the Tanaka version. Why they went with a raspy voice over a fun voice eludes me and it still hurts. I've warmed up some but I don't think I'll ever like it.

The Buu saga has some of the most epic moments in the series for me. Sadly though, they are surrounded by the some of the most terrible.
Am I the only one who never found Gohan's SSJ2 transformation (or Goku's SSJ1) that amazing? They just didn't carry any oomph. I enjoyed Vegeta's first transformation that much more. And I don't think I would've cared about Gohan's SSJ2 transformation if the fight wasn't eventually capped with that awesome kamehameha against Cell.

Just saying. Nobody's forcing you to listen to the dub, because the Japanese track is right on the discs too, VGChampion. But this has nothing to do with Dragon Ball, so....

So I was bored and with the new SSJ2 Gohan scene coming up, I decided to browse some videos and I stumbled upon "Chi-Chi, Bulma, Videl and Dabura searching for Gohan in heaven" WTF is this filler shit? :lol While it was hilariously bad now, I can't imagine having to watch it while actually watching the series

The original was much much better. The music of Kai rubbed me the wrong way.

No way. Kai's version is way better. For one, the music actually fits the mood of the scene and makes the scene feel much more intense.
In either case, this is my first time seeing the original dub. Gotta say, it's much better than the old English dub. Much more suspenseful when Gohan's not spelling out his (cheesy) thoughts for us.

Last episode was one of the worst episodes in terms of artist consistency, imo. It's like they couldn't decide on how big his hair should be, so in one scene it would be huge all over, and another scene it'll be short in the back and small in the front. Not that DBZ has ever been "pretty", but this is the ugliest by far.
... Or maybe it was me paying more attention to them now since this is my favorite part of the entire series.

Haven't read the whole thing but allow me to add my unneeded $0.02
I just don't like how when they do the director comments they act as if the show was something they've created. I can appreciate the work they put in but, c'mon give more credit to the original creators.
That being said I do enjoy how much fluff the cut out of the series to just get to goddamn point.
Any ideas if they are going to do the whole dbz saga or are they planning to cut it after king cold?
