You know, there's another sense you can read that line in.

Of course, but there's a limit. if the ratings keep dropping it's not good. If it passes One Piece that's a big deal too.
You know, there's another sense you can read that line in.
To be honest, cyborgs sounds like a much more accurate description than artificial humans. Superhumans seems like the only correct description.
I thought that the Japanese term they used just mean "Mechanical Human", and it is somewhat ambiguous how to translate it.
Nope. There is zero mention of that there. Check the manga. Bulma finds it out later. That's AFTER the Cell retcon too. Again, if you don't know Cell, 17, and 18 didn't exist originally, they are on the fly retcons. 17 and 18 were only made biological to fit with Cell and so 18 and Krillin would be a thing. They found out that 17 and 18 are biological when they were destroying the lab. It's not a retcon when it's still during the Android Saga and they had yet to show any evidence that they were mechanical beyond assuming that they were like the other Androids.
You know, there's another sense you can read that line in.
This debate is dumb. First of all 17 and 18 are not the only Androids. 16, 19, Cell, and ALL the creations before are 100% Androids. Calling them Cyborg 18 and 17 makes no sense since there are no Cyborgs 1 through 16. Also the fact that they are Biologically enhanced humans is a retcon. That was made up after the fact so Krillin could get with 18. Just like how 17 and 18 were retcons of 19 and 20 who were ORIGINALLY before retcons BOTH 100% Androids.
Artificial Human will always be the best term to describe the bunch but overall Androids is better than Cyborg because it's more accurate to entirely of the creations.

You didn't read 2 posts above? Seriously? You realize that's dumb right ? It had nothing to do with Krilin, we already knew they were made from humans.
It was to explain how Cell, an organic being, could merge with them.
I want to go to bed but I want to wait for the Jump preview.
what do
Sorry for bringing up this again but the leak that was sayingwas confirmed fake right?that Frieza betrays Goku and others and joins an other Universe

They're not Cyborgs.Toriyama can retcon his creation all he wants. They are not androids.
Any time now. When we expecting jump preview to hit?
They're not Cyborgs.
They're not Cyborgs.
They're Alaska pollock with cyborg flavour added in.
What is a jump preview?
I would argue he loves his kids.
Did you guys discuss it openly or do you spoiler tag it?The only thing keeping us sane.
A preview of what the next episode/ next few episodes, will be about. Usually gives an in depth look,
so we know the main plot of the episode.
Spoiler tags.Did you guys discuss it openly or do you spoiler tag it?
Did you guys discuss it openly or do you spoiler tag it?
92% of people spoiler tag it, unless it's controversial, then people forget what spoiler tags are, and we shun them/ sacrifice them to Lord Zeno.Did you guys discuss it openly or do you spoiler tag it?
he loves Gohan and has been warming up to Goten
Exactly.

96 Jump preview. Doesn't really say much of anything.

What specific religions are hierarchy/role based akin to DB?
Wait I'm getting religion and mythology mixed up aren't I
Dragonball's pantheon is original (aside from Yemma), but I believe it most closely resembles Shenism, the religion of Chinese ancestor worship. Not an expert (even as a mythology nerd it's one of my weak areas) but I'll tell you my understanding of it.
Because China is so fucking old, if you go down the list of rulers from the most recent to the oldest you eventually go from people to are clearly historical to people who are exaggerated by legend to people who are straight up mythical god-emperors. The Shenist idea has a god-emperor still ruling an imperial court in Heaven, and whoever is installed at a position at his court becomes a god and gains the powers appropriate to a god of that position.
The pantheon's called the Celestial Bureaucracy. I think there's even paperwork involved.
Similarly, the emperor of China is enstated by the heavenly court through the Mandate of Heaven. When heaven decides to pull their support, they cause disasters that incite revolt or bring in foreign invaders, and so the power is handed from one dynasty to another.
The gods in Dragonball are kind of a throwback to Journey to the West, where Sun Wukong went up to the heavenly court and fucked everyone up. He actually was appointed the stableboy - albeit with a really grandoise title so that he thought it was a great position - and so he has the godly power over horses that comes with it. Although we see that Goku's different than Wukong in that he's declined both Kami and Beerus' offers to take their positions because Goku thinks being a god would be boring.
Aside from that, the most hierarchical thing I can think of are the angels and demons of feudal Christianity. The idea is that the nobles are above the peasants, the king is above the nobles, and then God is above the king.
Angels are divided into nine classes, which are themselves divided into three choirs, each of which have different attributes are duties. Demons also divide themselves into kingdoms, which have nobles and armies like earthly ones.
I don't think it's as similar, because as far as I know, it's supposed to be very static. You don't have angels' powers shifting because they change their job.
It's almost definitely fake. We'll know for sure in a bit when the Jump preview comes out.
That's part of why I don't want to go to sleep, I want to know for sure if the leak was fake or not.
Yes.
Goku was more interesting in the original series.
Go read the manga or watch the Japanese version. He's completely different.I only saw the original Funi Dub so maybe that's why I didn't enjoy him a ton in the original series. Not insulting the Funi Dub but what I've read is that they shaped him a bit differently
Okay, cool. I would be really disappointed if, let alone the fact that i am still mad about what they did with Buu.they brought back Frieza only to do the obvious stupid move and betray them
