As somebody who grew up with the original, I really can't stand this butchery. The perma shit synth keys, the script, the over saturation.... my God.
Yeah, the Latam dub over here used the original soundtrack, so hearing Faulconer's music is... weird and kind of takes me out of the whole thing, it doesn't fit.

Not really, no.

Dub added Kai saying "I'm afraid I have no choice"
And added Goku saying "then neither do I"
In Jp it was silent

In both the JP Version and Dub goku apologizes at the end.

How does that constitute painting goku in a better light. If anything, it's worse.

I guess your right about it for this scene. I forgot the Japanese version also apologized, but the added dialogue still annoys me.

The old dub was annoying like that since whenever a character's face was off-screen for a split second Funimation would be sure to throw in lines that weren't there originally. More often than not, it was some corny joke or something obvious because American kids couldn't deal with a little silence like the rest of the world.

Reminds me of the "I see their parachutes" line.

Toei put out another "hype" video, no idea what the text says, but apparently this is part of a countdown to Goku day (May 9th).

lol at them using "Andoroid" again.

In other news the guy who wrote the last two episodes said he started writing a new episode and it apparently has "The most funny fight", he gave no indication if the episode he was writing was for this arc or not, though he did say he's dedicating his holiday (Golden Week) to writing the episode, poor guy.
He also said that all of the fights in the tournament of power are exciting, though that's pretty much what all the marketing fluff has been saying anyways.

Oh yeah.. Goku day...forgot that was a thing!

Yeah, then how do you explain this?

Pictures don't lie ElFly.

oh wait

yeah me bad

Last Goku Day gave us the announcement of the Future Trunks arc, wonder what they're going to do this year.

Can't be something on the same level since we're barely into the "meaty" part of this current arc.

They could announce stuff for other other media though (games, manga, etc).

Well the ToP will probably start in early June, so Goku Day will be about a month before then, maybe they'll do a blow out and show a bunch of new character designs for characters that are in the tournament or something.

The dub ruined that moment by adding lines where there was none and changing the dialogue to paint Goku in a better light.

The Kai version should be airing soon so hopefully that has been fixed.

Completely disagree, the added dialouge makes the scene better, and in no way paints goku in a better light

10 strongest fighters introduction PV, kicking off the countdown to Goku Day on May 9.

Maybe, I wouldn't mind that one bit! :P Get us all going crazy with the new characters hehe

I am so excited for the Tien episode. There has to be a reason 17 (the reclusive family man who got a hype video and who can hang with SSB Goku and who we haven't seen outside of a cameo since the Cell arc) wasn't saved for last (or the Gohan/Piccolo episode). Not saying Tien is that strong as well (and I wouldn't want him to be that strong anyways), I just feel there must be something special to him :)

I can see Jiren becoming one of my favorites, it's funny seeing him getting figures confirmed so soon since he has yet to fully appear in the show.

They're really building the hype for Jiren. Really feels like the dude is gonna be on some Pre-Crisis Superman shit.

Also, I'm really digging the Pride Troopers in general. They are hype. I also can't stop listening to their theme lol.

Well, there's the "mysterious girl Yurin" appearing in the same episode. What if she's actually that new Saiyan shown in the magazines rather than a random one shot character?

Oh yeah. DB has a trend of marrying newer characters to ones established early on in DB (Bulma and Vegeta, 18 and Krillin).
I wonder if this mysterious girl may get along well with Tien? I thought the spoilers for this episode said Tien is running a martial arts studio, so maybe she wants to train under him?

What if universe 6 and 7 team up

Did daishinkan say what would happen if there was a tie between universes

Actually this theory sucks bc I'm pretty sure the fat lady Vegeta fights in the OP is from u6

Anime Piccolo basically beat Frost the first time anyway, even if he somehow gets tricked again Zeno isn't going to stand for that poison shit.
