But yeah Dragon Ball ain't going away anytime soon.
And they're fixing the problem of the cast being too old to continue.
The only people that really need development between now and then are Vegeta, Goten, and Trunks. None of them are like their EoZ selves.
Goten and Trunks I agree with, but did you see Vegeta's arrogant grin when he put on Bra's diaper? He's becoming dadlier with every passing arc. We should be worrying that he might grow a moustache.

He's on his way, more so then Goten and Trunks, but I still don't think he's there yet. Either way, we need this park ranger escapade to turn into an arc that grows Goten and Trunks characters, or they need a good mini arc after the ToP.

Highly doubt it's the last arc, otherwise they would have advertised it as such. Doesn't say anything that we haven't discussed before. If anything there will be a new series that takes place post EoZ.
They've alluded to so much post EoZ like Uub and Goku wanting Pan to go SSJ. Dragonball will no doubt continue, wether it's called Super or something else.

I think the main reason I want to see Trunks grown up is that it brings things full circle, to a moment that's parallel with the future F. Trunks wanted to change. Seeing him look and sound the same in EoZ was really satisfying because of that.
I even smile when I think that we're in the alternate version of the History of Trunks era right now.

I just want something new with Goten and Trunks Trunks has some development, but they alternate between that development and the old Trunks.

My theory about Goten and Trunks has always been super Saiyan sperm.
We know with Goten at least that Goku was walking around permanently as a SSJ when they conceived. Who knows with Vegeta.
Actually Toyotaro has nothing to do with 17.
The current producer asked Toriyama where they could take 17, and his answer was that 17's potential was huge and wasn't exploited in the original story.
Toyotaro's fav is clearly Broly, if you've followed his history.
What is this based on? Base copy Vegeta destroying Gotenks? Because the Goku vs. Gohan fight where they go toe-to-toe in super saiyan forms is newer than that. Trunks also forced out SSJ3 from Goku. We haven't seen godlike strong base/SSJ 1-3 forms since RoF, which leads me to believe it's been retconned out as a result of writers changing their priorities/minds on Goku/Vegeta's powers. One obvious reason to nerf base forms would be to make SSJ1-3 relevant again since they are so iconic to the franchise.
I choose to defer to newer portrayals over arguing for complex "two-base" theories or the dumb inefficient idea of transforming to SSJ forms only to supposedly power down to below base levels for no reason.

How? All that showed was that base Vegeta is stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks despite all of the power increases that the form gives.
The jump to SSG was huge.

End of Z and GT are separated by 5 years . On top of that, it would obviously send the message "hey guys, your beloved GT is happening !!!".

Also, I could see Tien having more longevity than typical humans as he is Kame senin's true heir with the school and all.
As for Krilin, since his wife ages slowly, he could simply wish to be a bit younger to shenron.
also, Vegeta is a lot older due to all the trips within the HTC. Goku is a lot younger because he was dead thus stopped aging. But he also had a few trips within the HTC so maybe by now it has sort of evened out.

Where did this person get the ages for 17 and 18? I've always been under the assumption that they are much younger than that.

I don't think those ages take time chamber years into account or the total of 8 years that Goku has spent dead either. I'm pretty sure Goku is physically under 40 while Vegeta is over 50.
