Yeah I'd rather Gohan just stay the way he is but be super strong. I really like the idea of him just having all his potential unleashed and being dangerous as hell in a normal state.

I wouldn't.

Shitting on every character that wasn't Goku Vegeta or Trunks isn't exactly a great way to handle the show because it made it insanely repetitive and unambitious.

There was also a constant reuse of the same areas and gags that contributed to that sentiment and made everything feel super self contained, in the worst way possible.

Story trumps character usage to me. And I like Future Trunks Saga much more than this current arc at the moment. Calling the other sagas unambitious and repetitive because of the smaller cast size, couldn't disagree more.

And that saga made great use of the characters they did use like Future Mai, Bulma, Gowasu, Beerus, and Whis. I didn't need Gohan or anyone else and I didn't miss their absent. It's also why I love the Namek/Frieza Saga. Small cast, but great usage of the characters along with a good story.

I don't want or need 'everyone shines' in every story arc.

I thought you were kidding about hating 17.

I refused to believe somebody could have such shit taste.

The only thing I hate for serious are the slice of life episodes when they aren't done well enough.

And the fact that Piccolo got robbed in his fight against Frost.

And I guess Frost himself to a much lesser extent, because we were fresh off a Freeza rematch and he could have at least had a different moveset instead of just being poison Freeza.

And Cabba, sorta. I don't dislike him, but he still sucks, so he's fun to hate on.

And ningen, which naturally has to include jinzo ningen for the sake of consistency.

So I'm joking at least 50% of the time. Or, at most, 25% at least.

To be completely honest, I never hated 17... Until I meet you.

Seriously though, the Androids never made an impression on me in Z so I was totally indifferent to them, but 17 in Super actually seems pretty cool and I'm hyped to see more of him. Then again, I didn't watch the Android saga subbed, so maybe the Japanese voice actor does a much better job of making him sound cool.

Seriously seriously though, 17 is shit, and GT was shit because it had two 17s which made it twice as shitty as any other series.
I forget if I used that one before.

What is this savagery Thursday?
Least it ain't goten

Didn't realize I hated 17 until I saw him forcing Goku to turn Super Saiyan Blue. Who knows, with some pushups and toe touches in the closing minutes before leaving to the tournament he will be neck and neck with Beerus.

Wait for Friday.
Aw man

Jokes on you he already is he was holding back way more thank goku was Xp

You seen those consecutive Mario uppercuts that's some beyond god level power

Yeah, for some reason Freeza's power up didn't anger me but 17's did.

Opposite for me. Frieza's power up is the reason i just don't care about this

The Four months training is such bullshit that at least 17 having more time to train didn't bother me helped by the fact they are so vague besides him being in the range.

I like this DB Super where everyone can be powerful without having 20 transformation and literal god modes.

I think multiple transformations are what makes things really bad. You can't have balance anymore. Either everyone who can't transform can't keep up with the transformations, or the guys without transformation are better than the ones with them, and the transformation are what close the gap.

17 Is a nothing character

Wasn't Piccolo VS 17 the final fight in DBZ where a non-saiyan had a big fight and was strong enough to face an enemy? I think Piccolo fought Semi-perfect Cell briefly after 17 was absorbed but was mainly just beaten to a pulp? That Piccolo/17 fight really marked a turning point for the series. Until Super, it was mainly just Saiyan stuff from that point on

Didn't you see Hercule destroy Perfect Cell?

Piccolo got taken out before 17 was absorbed.

The reason their fight was so good is that they were even and they were going all out.

Something we literally never got again in the series that only gave us crappy one sided battles or fights where one character would be holding back. The only thing that came close was Goku vs Majin Vegeta, and the manga fight was extremely underwhelming and short (and half of it was off panel), it was kind of salvaged by the anime but it's still a pretty bland fight overall.

17 becoming that strong because "training against poachers" is the worst thing ive ever seen in Dragon Ball.

Who says he trained against poachers ?

Yeah pretty much. The Buu arc was Super Saiyan overload. SS for Goten, Trunks, Gotenks and Vegetto, SS2 given to Goku and Vegeta, SS3 given to Goku and Gotenks all in the same arc lol

Blonde hair for daaaaays

I mean, is it any weirder than Piccolo getting as strong as Super Saiyan Gohan by meditating in the mountains?

I think people think there's some kind of consistent logic to growing stronger in this universe, and I just don't see it.

One sided fights can be good, but they either need multiple people or to be rare, surprising, short-and-sweet spectacles. Like Vegeta destroying Android 19, or when guys who has been dragging out a curbstomping like Nappa and Recoome get defeated like nothing.

Last time I saw Piccolo and 17 they were evenly matched. Piccolo took years to get stronger than a rusty SS2 gohan who didn't do any sort of powering up in those years. 17 if we are to believe in those same years became stronger than a constantly training super saiyan 3 goku at the beginning of Super who during Super increased his base power training with Whis. By this logic all this time 17 has been stronger than Goku and Vegeta by a huge margin. You don't see a difference in that.

17 has presumably been training since the Cell embarrassment. I don't think Piccolo took training seriously until Frieza / losing U6 tournament.

With out him Gotenks can't exist.

Gotenks is fun even though he's an arrogant ass due to have a double dose fight happy blood in him.
I give Goten the Ghost Kamikaze attackx , but I honestly don't like anything else about Gotenks. He's unfunny, unlikable, arrogant, makes shit attacks, and he is just a worthless character in every sense.

I did not get one laugh from him, I did not feel sorry for him, and nothing he did was worth the time watching him.
