The only times they are fake are when there is no doubt at all and they're very obviously fake.

Should be tomorrow or Monday. Either way there were some fake ones last arc that had Goku and Vegeta dying so... Not unprecedented.

Do Saiyans actually have longer life spans than humans? I thought they just retain their youthfulness for longer and then age all at once towards the end of their life.
I see a lot of people saying this arc is the last "hurrah" for the current cast before they get old.

17 18 Goku Vegeta Gohan Roshi Piccolo Buu won't age much by end of Z.
Which leaves Krilin Tien and Bulma as the "old ones".
Tien's rigorous training might preserve his body. (especially since he seems to become a teacher, and both the hermits had huge longevity)
As for Krilin and Bulma, they're both married to characters that age very slowly.

We had a fake title in the Champa arc that said Piccolo was going to fight Magetta.

Actually, if they really did go through with those rumored spoilers, it'd bring back a team dynamic that had been missing since the Cell Saga ended, with the heroes needing to work alongside a powerful but untrustworthy ally. Piccolo and Vegeta obviously don't fill that role anymore.
