Power levels in DBZ were kind of fucked but you at least had a pretty good idea how strong everybody was relative to each other at any point in time.
In Super, any character can get a ridiculous power boost at any time for any reason. Any character can get weaker for any reason. Goku can get injured by bullets even after getting to the point where his punches can shake the universe. I have no idea how strong anybody is anymore. Maybe Roshi could beat Perfect Cell now. Who the fuck knows?
I bet there's a good reason for it to be forbidden too, like the ritual also releases a cosmic monster that consumes universes. Old Kai doesn't give a shit.

XV3 isn't coming for a while, they said XV2 would get extended support. Hopefully it means XV3 will be something different. Cause the engine and artstyle in that game suck ass.
The amount of hype episodes it's taking for this tournament to begin already surpassed Frieza's famous "5 minute till Namek explodes" or the pre Cell games filler episodes. This tournament better be insanely epic with major plot twists... wich I think it's already happening with that
so this is off to a good start IMHO.

Gohan is being set up to be more powerful than Goku so he can take a fall to show how strong the opponent is just like Buu Saga.

They could retconn it and say Tapion was killed long ago by Beerus for having elder kai awaken his potential, releasing Hirudegarn. Annnd know I've just become a fanfic writer.
