I find it hilarious how random innocous db threads are made as if the average person on gaf will understand what is being talked about

Dragon Ball's popularity can't be contained to only one thread.
He does absolutely nothing for the show. His character can't be developed any further and there's no impression he could possibly have on the main cast after being confronted by him the 4th time in the series now?
Every other character they bring back has always had the room for character development and to move the story forward but I really can't see Frieza doing any of that now. It's especially annoying when you see someone like Buu getting some screen time and development only to go "lol he's sleeping again".
And I know there's no point even debating this because it will just devolve into "it doesn't have to make sense, it's DB" showing they completely miss the point.

There is a lot they can do with Freeza. Him being on the team creates friction on the team, it is prime for lots of interesting interactions that we'd never see otherwise and depending on how he acts during the tournament, it could add to the "Universe 7 is the villain" idea that the rest of the universes have. I don't think anyone should write this off before the show is even able to make its case.

That is the only thing I'm clinging on to. This whole Frieza thing is to create friction between Goku and the rest of the team villainising him even further. I still would've preferred another way of doing this because this is the 3rd time Frieza has been represented in Super.
Was considering watching the sub, but why do that when I'll suffer through the dub.
Does that start today? Or is it one more slice of life episode? I don't think I started watching the RoF arc until Ginyu came in. So at least some of it will be new to me.

Freeza going all out in the tournament, presumably by going Golden, burn his remaining time. Similar to how Goku going SSJ 3 burned out his time back during the Buu saga?

One thing I'm disappointed in with the arc, is Gohan should have turned into Great Saiyaman when fighting Ginyu. That was just a no brainer, but gotta make the arc as boring as possible.
