Gohan wanted as few people to know because he wanted to avoid exactly that happening.

Nobody's criticizing them for keeping it a secret from the general public. It's because they didn't tell their own teammates that have fought multiple world-ending threats already.

When you think about it, what's currently going on is really fucked up. That's not it is it though? I'm sure nobody deliberately told the public in the currently rioting universe either.

The point is the more people that know about it, the more likely they are to have the public find out by accident.

All it would take is for Satans house to be bugged, which as the biggest celebrity we know of I'd say is fairly likely. Potentially Gohan and Videls too, and it's not impossible that as a decent ranking police officer, someone who would benefit from rioting might want to be listening in to Krillin.

If they barely ever mention it, then the likelyhood of it being found out is significantly lower than being cavalier about it.

But they wont be erased so you as a viewer know that nothing will happen. But still for the series itself it's very nice to see that they wont be able to do shit if that would happen. No "ok lets rezz everyone" shit

I mean, if the whole thing isn't a massive bluff on the part of the grand priest, that's almost certainly exactly how the arc is going to end, with the super dragonballs used to "rezz everyone".

What they've really missed in telling the others is not just that the universe is going to be erased, but that all the other universes blame Goku for it. Whether it's actually Goku's fault or not doesn't matter - that's how they see it. They're the bad guys this time and have a huge target on their backs. And I don't think they've told anybody that part.

I can but only because I'm familiar with Toriyama's recent one-shot works. He always parodies shojo genre + idol culture these last few years. In fact I would suggest everyone to look at some of those one-shots to get an idea of what we might see in this upcoming tournament.

Toyotaro is there to thankfully spice things up though by adding in some non-Toriyama esque characters into the mix as well.

80 fighters though. War of the best is way closer to the chaos thats gonna be. I imagine it'll be similar. Its going to be big hectic slobberknocker, and the Pov will dance between the contestants to highlight moments.

I mean I was super worried Goku would out power the duo instantly. Luckily, that didnt happen, but this continual punking of them by Goku is pretty much the same thing. I mean, having someone who could and would rub Goku's nose in it was the most promising part of Super to me and they seem to be completely backing off.

I just hope its a one arc thing.

Um yes? Lots of names,lots of new islands and counties alluded to, several fruits. Ppl complained the coliseum wasted time on these ppl in fact instead of what the strawhats were doing.

For db my main focus is on the other universes I know what uni 7 is capable of. Give me some crazy personalities and powers

Pretty sure everyone besides Goten & Kid Trunks on Z got buffer (or more defined) when they transformed into one of those forms. Arguably even the kids, to a smaller degree as well. It's not been a thing on Super, but it most definitely was a thing during Z.

Yep. Cabba was pretty much equal to Vegeta at the time of U6 vs U7 tourney when comparing the forms that they share. Can't say how much hes refined that form or if hes been able to unlock higher forms of Super Saiyan yet since there's been no hint at it plotwise.
