I think people just think its dumb and miss how earning SS the first time for most characters was a real struggle? It's not a hard position to understand. I feel most of the people saying that still don't like how Goten and Regular Trunks getting SS so easily either.

In the manga everyone but Goku just sorta got Super Saiyan, and that was that.
Cabba has a good reason, and the point of the Caulifla scene was NOT that it's easy, but that she is a prodigy.

Of the 6 super saiyans in dbz, 4 of them had a hard struggle to get it. So the post you quoted is correct.

Make that 3, Trunks's transformation was never shown in the manga

Hell make that 2, manga Gohan got it at his second try

And Vegeta's pride was just very hurt and he punched the ground a couple times...

So in reality, it's just Goku.

It was dumb before how easily some characters got SSJ and it's still dumb now. Especially considering the U6 saiyans don't seem to be the same type of warrior-bred race that U7 ones are.

Neither I nor most English-speaking Dragon Ball fans have ever read the manga. I also wasn't critciizng Cabba's first transformation (nor have I seen anyone else do so). I understand what they were trying to achieve with Caulifla and Kale. I don't think the idea was bad - I just felt underwhelmed by the execution and thus it paled to the "struggle" other characters like had to endure for the first time to go SS (even if that was apparently anime filler). Saying "but Goten and Regular Trunks" isn't a rebuttal because many/most people were annoyed with those transformations too.

That's certainly not Toriyama's problem.

He has his story, he is continuing it.

This reminds of the people pissed at him taking stuff from OG DB because "He should only focus on the cool one"

If JK Rowling continues the Harry Potter franchise she's free to not give a flying fuck about the movies giving everything cool Ginny ever did in the books to minor one-off characters, pairing Luna with Neville or erasing Winky and Peeves from the plot, despite many people only knowing that version of the events.

Cabba was getting destroyed by Vegeta and he had no reason to believe that he wouldn't go and kill his whole family and destroy his planet, that's about as good a reason as any to turn into a Super Saiyan.

I swear to god if I see one more person completely ignoring what actually happened in the scene where Caulifla turned Super Saiyan I'm going to smash my face through a wall. Cabba explained that focusing your energy into your back and creating a tingling feeling is how people who already have Super Saiyan turn the transformation on, Caulifla tells him to teach her that instead and Cabba says he can't, it's something you need to feel first. Caulifla turning Super Saiyan in that scene is supposed to show how much of a prodigy she is, not how easy Super Saiyan is to unlock, and Cabba is surprised by it as well. The scene is so god damn straight forward, it LITERALLY spells everything out and yet people keep ignoring the actual dialogue because "HUR BACK TINGLES".

Why are you so shocked? This is the same fanbase that said Krillin's is up to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan because Goku used his god form and he briefly held back the Kamehameha. You know, despite the freaking episode saying that Krillin was inferior to base form Gohan and that Goku used his god form to see how Krillin react.

Everyone but Goku got Super Saiyan off-scene in the manga.

The U6 Saiyans are a warrior race like the U7 Saiyans. They are just not mass-murderers. This was shown best when Vegeta casually mentioned that the U7 Saiyans stole planets and it's okay because the Saiyans are a warrior race. Cabba refuted and says that being a warrior means, you don't steal planets.

Its like DBZ fans only listen to "I'm stronger than X by Y amount" dialogue and everything else is background noise

What? They're all heroes for hire

I just used the word warrior because it was easiest. It is clear that U6 saiyans aren't of the same caliber as U7 saiyans.

Yeah, they're far better. Goku and Vegeta had to train with gods to get as far as they did and they hybrids are more powerful than them. The U6 Saiyans didn't and they don't need hybrids to make themselves stronger.

Man, you guys who have only watched the original funimation dub of Z are seriously missing out. The original Dragon Ball is amazing. If you are pressed for time, I highly recommend getting the DB manga, it's probably the peak of the series IMO.

At the very least, there's a fan recut of the Dragon Ball anime that removes filler. I've heard good things. Combine that with DBZ Kai, and I'd say it's really not thattttttt far off from the manga. It's pretty much an entirely different show when you strictly compare it to the original funimation dub+score.

You're right, they're better as a whole than U7's.

To add to this, the U6 Saiyans are what the Saiyans could have become by not being assholes. Proving that evil doesn't pay. Even Vegeta didn't get as strong as he did until he repented for his past deeds.

A fitting fate for a race who kept priding themselves of being the strongest and weeding out the 'weak' among them like Tarble, yet they get utterly destroyed by Saiyans they would call pansies.

Karma's a bitch.

They didn't spend all their time killing each other like u6, but they did still fight, just for good.

Without constantly setting their own species back they probably have a larger talent pool to pick from, and the characters we're seeing are the best of the best.

It's less believable to me that a more uplifted, larger population never discovered transformations, but you can squint your brain and make it make sense that their base forms were highly trained and had the appropriate power to go SS once they discovered it.

Episode 95 - 98 descriptions leaked

Looks like Freeza get taken to Universe 4? or kidnapped lol

The list is suspect because it includes one more episode than it should. The people listed as the supervisors for 94 in that leak also don't match the art in the NEP.
Could be real though.

It also says that the fighters that get thrown out of the map are instantly erased.

Which is moronic since they are forbidden to kill. And the goal is to throw them out.

So it's most likely fake.

Idk, that makes sense to me. It's like saying: "The only way you get to survive is by staying on this platform". They're just taking it to a very literal degree. Killing someone who is still on the platform is a violation of that rule. (Assuming any of it is true lol.)

Vegeta, Gohan, and Future Trunks all struggled with becoming Super Saiyan more than Goku honestly. I mean, Goku technically nails it on his first try. Vegeta meanwhile was attempting to become Super Saiyan since before Goku first transformed.

I guess the fact that Cabba, Cauli, and Female Brolly are able to so easily turn into Super Saiyans really does prove that Goku's universe is the weakest. It took the Z crew years if not decades to get where they're at whereas these folks are hitting milestones in hours.

I'm leaning towards fake right now for a few reasons.

1. This "leak" says that Hirotaka Nii and Hiroyuki Itai are supervising episode 94, yet neither of them are seen in the NEP at all, but there is an extremely polished style present through most of it that doesn't match any of Super's current regulars.

2. Supervisor Yukihiro Kitano is generally given smaller timeframes for his episodes to allow other supervisors more time, yet according to this leak he would have a massive 10 weeks for his next episode.

3. Supervisors Naoki Tate and Masahiro Shimanuki aren't listed at all, despite the fact that at least one of them should show up by episode 98.

4. The listings we're getting this month should only go up to episode 97, not 98.

The thing about Freeza not being part of the Universe 7 team doesn't mesh well with the fact that we know there is artwork in the files of the official site of Freeza in the same pose that Buu is in on the key visual for the arc, seemingly waiting to replace Buu on said visual.

Kale Broly is just too perfect. I keep watching it. For better or worse this has been some of the best stuff out of Super so far, playing with the fanbase and commenting on non-canon stuff in it's own way.

In Vegeta's defense the dude was chasing a myth blindly before he even knew what the hell it was. Granted he still almost died on a planet attempting to go Super Saiyan but still.

I agree. I think it's fake too and largely because of this reason, or we just are misunderstanding the new episode spoilers.
Frieza could be abducted by another universe for an episode or two but then our heroes get him back or something. It could just be a two episode story giving us more waiting for the actual tournament to start. Or maybe Frieza really does get completely acquired by U4 and the key art visual on the website of Frieza will be used for his presence on the U4 team and/or it was placed on the website as misdirection

From what I understand the Japanese word used means
to double cross someone.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the magazine officially comes out on the 9th. Leaks usually happen around the 7th or 8th, but last month we got them on the 6th. This stuff popping up on the 5th is pretty damn early, another point towards fake.

I wonder, is Mr Satan more powerful than Yamcha?

I know Yamcha can do energy blasts, but Mr Satan does appear to be pretty strong for a normal guy.

One of the titles says "The final member is that man" which to me says it's Yamcha... if the leaks are real, that is.

Holy cow! I completely agree the "that man" phrasing implies Yamcha. He is the one who has had a running side-story of waiting around to be picked for this tournament. The build up is there. I root for Yamcha. He is my favorite of the side characters. I kind of just accepted he wouldn't fight in the tournament and became excited thinking of what they could do with him on earth. But if he ends up on the team, that will be a very unexpected surprise

Lol
Yamcha joining
last minute would be amusing. But what's gonna happen with Freeza?
Yamcha vs. Botamo
would be dope.
