I actually like this design and wish they had kept it. Problem is he was never a badass with this look. They will most likely go with the current/Buu saga look, which is fine too.What if it's this Gohan?

Tracksuit isn't very marketable for him. Maybe if they'd kept his spiked up hair but eh...
I like that haircut because it makes the hair changes a lot more pronounced.
It's also way more symbolic as him wearing it meant he still needed training to get back where he was.
But we're here now, and there's no going back.

It was nice he had something closer to his own look than just using other people's clothes. Hair looks more like something that's Goku's son would probably have than the spiked up hair.
Look man, I just want change. Something that shows we're in a new era. If we didn't know better this current arc could have taken place in the Buu saga. They even went back on new costumes for Goku and Vegeta.

It's that comfort casual fighter look.

The only characters I really really want are Black and Hit, and I've already accepted the possibility they won't make it.

I really want Nappa in the game. I think he would be pretty cool to play. I love the Saiyan Saga, and would enjoy having proper representation from that arc.

There is no way Black would be an assist. If he either gets in on his own, or Zamasu would be the assist.

I like Gohan in the tracksuit. With that haircut and the glasses he looks appropriately dorky, which works really well with the costumed crime fighter side of him. Hell, I still like the haircut, it's closer to his Saiyan/Cell saga look and stands out better than his non-Ultimate form haircut he has now.
Just a shame it's associated with one of the worst parts of Super.

Kid Buu would be a good fit for the game.
The guy took his arm off and used it as a guided projectile. He used his stretching abilities much better than any of the other Buus.

Kid Buu is probably a lock. He's the final villain of the original series, you can't not have him. Super Buu is the questionable one.

If they add Videl she will need saiyaman Gohan to be viable. 18 doesn't need 17 but I understand why they did it.
Yeah, that would be nice. Since his ultimate form is now treated as a transformation it would make for a better transition and he would stand out more without spiky hair.

Could it be that you can choose 17 as your main and 18 as the 'helper'? I mean, if they have the same moves, it's possible.
Let's be honest.The reason 17 isn't completely unique in DBFZ is because he was never the Android they wanted to give shine to in the game. He's not as popular, loved and important as 18 and his only defining thing in Z has been his fight with Piccolo. 16 on the other hand was stronger in Z, he looked far different from the the others, he was actually around in the Cell Games and he had an important part of Gohan's transformation. Those 2 go above 17 in Z and that puts him in the game. His playstyle differs too.
The fact 17 was even in this game is honestly a bone thrown towards his character because he straight up didn't do anything worthy of being in it. The fact they somehow "got the 3 main Androids in the game" with it's limited roster is amazing.

Tbh...Ultimate Gohan's probably going to be the character with the Rekkas, counters and dodges that was suggested for 17. He's got that physical fighting style so it would be easy to differentiate him from Gohan Y (youth). Great Saiyaman might be teamed with Videl if she's in (makes more sense) but Ultimate Gohan's a different story.
