the next event where they could at least reveal a release date would be Nintendo's June direct (which has been confirmed to be a thing by Furukawa himself)

Edit: I've forgotten that Playstation are supposed to have an event this week (at least according to insiders...). So maybe this week we'll get more info. Who knows.

I think it depends on what Horii means with mature. DQ still can have this whimsical, fairy tale atmosphere but also tackle some more mature themes, I guess. But if he meant to make the hero an edge lord, then I dunno.
