Xeno Crsis was a really solid effort, they milked the hell out of it though. So glad they have made another game. I do wish they had made a Neo Geo, SNES or Genesis version though on cartridge.

This reminds me of the SNES/Genesis era and all the movie tie ins back in the day, accept the ones we are getting now are fantastic.

I know it was a joke, but Sarah Connor is one of my favorite example of a bad ass female character that actually earned it. In The Terminator she goes through this nightmare situation that kind of forces her to accept her fate and prepare for it. I do like that there's a scene where Kyle is teaching her to make bombs.

T2 you get to see how years of training and preparation have changed her. I love that when she first sees the T-800 at the mental hospital, she's still absolutely terrified, despite how bad ass she's become. It also makes sense why she doesn't trust him at first and wants to destroy him, since he looks exactly like the Terminator that terrorized her all those years ago.

Actually, I don't think people actually have a problem with strong female characters when they're well written. I've never heard anyone complain about Sarah Connor or Ripley.

A growing list of multiplat games that are all going for an SNES look and end up with something that looks a lot worse than SNES but with a lot more going on onscreen.
I'm still waiting for the day when we get games that look slightly better than PS2 but with a lot more going on onscreen.
For whatever reason post-SNES and post-PS2 we get games that look nothing like SNES or PS2 games.

Played T:2 on the Game Boy back in the day (never got past the second hacking scene ..). This looks dope! Cant wait to play it in September on my brand new Switch 2
They even recreated the iconic Super Contra moment with the plane flying into the screen.

I’d be more excited if a developer mixed retro stuff with more modern visuals. I’m surprised that more devs haven’t tried to incorporate this into their games.

Imagine playing as a basic robot in a retro overhead view (I’m thinking Paranoid if anyone remembers that far back), but as you upgraded your bot, the visuals became more and more modern - going through various 2D to full on 3D at peak ability. However, whenever you were downgraded by being hit, the visuals would regress again.
