Game play style seems kinda cool.

His design is bland as hell though. I may not be a big fan of the majority of the player character designs, but at least most of them are trying to have some sort of hook. He's just there.
He needs ass cheeks he can cut diamonds with.

I guess his teleport is to balance out his slow walking speed as well as an evasive move for him, he has meteor storm and a sorta homing attack like magic missile, was hoping he'd be a bit more like magic-user from D&D:SOM though not as nearly broken.

Quick someone give the character tits so they want to talk about him.

Edit: actually here's a real challenge. Can anyone find good fan art of the Wizard :lol

Edit2: LOL there is actually more fan art of the dwarf than the wizard :lol

That is because the wizard is a very boring character; elfish looking dude in robes. We have seen a ton of those in wow. The dwarf looks allot more interesting, same for all the other characters.

v____v

But I like the Elf the most.... Gonna force the game solo using her and see if it's doable. Hopefully it's doable...

It should be doable, it just looked like her stronger skills had some wind up time that might be a bit of a pain with out a melee focused class there but she's the most well rounded character overall.

To match the Witch character.
I wasn't aware the Sorc had a giant floppy clit/cammel toe

His animations are pretty underwhelming, but those massive area attack spells sure do look effective.

He looked really boring and uninspiring to me. Animations were also worse than the others.

Agreed. The spells themselves look powerful, but HIS animation, especially in relation to the force exerted by his spells are quite underwhelming. Could have at least made his cloak and his hair go crazy as indicators of force.
That is one of the reasons why I liked the sorceress' animations. You could tell how powerful her spells were because of the way her cloak, hair and her more controversial parts move.
Wizard looks good, but I really wish he was more dynamic.
Minor gripe.

Maybe it's just the video, but it didn't seem as stylish as the Sorceress. She was doing all sorts of funky combos, and he just pewpewd with big AoE. I'll still give him a try, though.

Looks dull to me. "Walk slowly and carry a big stick." Casts powerful magic from a distance but moves slow and presumably needs to stay out of range. I liked the look of the transformation of a cupboard into a wooden doll pawn(?), but I'm still on team Sorceress, Fighter (and maybe Amazon) at this point.

Looks like all of his attacks leave him open for pretty extended periods of time. For that reason, I'd be surprised if he ends up being a good solo character.

I'm sure he'd find a good place in a party though.

Ok. When I think I've settled on a main character I watch the weekly video and become undecided again. I'll just play them all hehehe

If you guys truly are sick of the Dragon's Crown "controversy" thing, jumping right in with sarcastic comments about this guy not having tits only helps to keep it going.

On point, Wizard looks cool. I actually like the plain look to him among the more eccentric art styles. Gives him this real serious, dour look that offsets the flashy explosions of his spells. This is the kind of subtle stuff that showcases just how clever Vanillaware's art direction really is.

The long robes hides his massive giant penis.

Can anybody find a wizard in traditional fantasy that doesn't look "boring." I like the look, personally.

They almost always where simple robes. At most you'll find some runes or fancy cloth.

At this point I am pretty sure I will be mainly using the Elf, her combination of ranged attacks and close-range launchers looks to suit my playstyle down to the ground. I am genuinely excited to play this online.

I hope the netcode is solid. Do we have any indications as to its state as of right now?

He seems like his playstyle is more about resource management and positioning for maximum spell impact than anything else, which doesn't really demo as well as combo chains and getting all up in monsters' stuff.

His li'l crate-minion is totes adorbs, though. Looks inspired by the classic Warhammer treeman models.

So, compared to the elf, he might be able to attack from long range, without any need to run back in, and do something close range, to regain "ammo", eh? A defining feature right there!

He can transmute minions. While the sorceress can necro dead bodies (probably at the end of an encounter), he seems to be able to do this to found objects (so maybe before the battle starts?) So maybe be can be a quicker up-front help than her, in this regard.

The fire effects are GORGEOUS. He does have a few "hair and robes more tossed by the wind!" effects going on, but it's very nice how the more power he uses, the more concentrated he looks. It does give a calm, snarky air to his abilities, as if he is so powerful, that he need not visually exert himself for such filth.

Yet more words added to the visual vocabulary of this game. I'm always happy to see something hit another side of the spectrum with these designs, instead of EVERYTHING just being big, loud, or over-stated. A giant would look like a normal man if seen alone, it's only when you put them in scale versus a regular person, or place, that the size difference becomes pronounced.

Hopefully once the Amazon is introduced, be can start seeing some full-on gameplay and start to learn more about the game system. The Character drip has been fun, but it'll be great to get into what really makes this game tick.

Shit! I wasn't planning to play Wizard at all, but he looks pretty awesome. currently 3rd in line behind Dwarf and Fighter for me.
