Who knows, maybe the next showing will make me shift again. I dunno, man. I mean, I guess you can fuck scout Harding, which is nice, speaking as a coomer. But I don't think that's good enough to offset the marvelized writing (at least what they've shown so far), the shitty companion designs and the really weird UI design, which kinda clashes with the game in a way? I like how they finally agreed on making it one type of game: An action game. Inquisition was shit because it tried to be both a real-time with pause kinda game and also be an action RPG and failed at both. However, the action combat in Veilguard appears to be superficial. Like generic, in a way. It doesn't look like it feels good, you know? Enemies seem spongy, animations seem to be not quite snappy enough. And the combat is difficult to read at times. The RPG systems also seem pretty inconsequential. Like it's mostly a dress-up simulator where the stats don't really matter. That would be fine if the combat was purely skill-based. But it doesn't seem to be. Sure, you can stack some combos, as they've shown. But I still don't know how much control you have over that.Im on a rollercoaster too. Reveal was hot garbage, 2nd trailer was better, 10 min combat footage looked decent, but this looks awful again
Environment design is cool, Music doesn't seem to be anything special. And I like that it's "mission-based", with a hub you return to. Like Deus Ex in a way. I think that's a good decision. But ultimately, the gameplay systems, even the character movement, seem janky. Like they were afraid to go all the way or something.
