I used to have dreadlocks, I'm pretty white, and I also thought they looked really awesome. Still do. I tried to take care of them, so they never smelled, and were never overly fuzzy. I got a lot of compliments on them, and they even made my ex fall in love with me. Of course there's lots of gross looking people with gross dreads. But lots of my admittedly hippie friends had very decent dreads.

It's a goofy thread with a goofy topic and a OP that literally asks us to make a judgement. Of course people are going to be ridiculous and judgmental. Nobody wants to read 10 pages of rational reasoned discourse about the merits of white people with dreadlocks. Gaf needs good discussion, and it has that in many threads, but it also needs silly threads were people declare that people who eat avocado are kitten punchers who belong in jail. Those are fun.
