Dream Drop Distance HD coming?

Yeah maybe I'll skip 2.5 and wait for the ultimate kingdom hearts release for ps4. I've barely played 1.5 anyway.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a Vita port. Upres the models a bit, keep all of the touch and camera stuff, and throw in a new secret movie. Minimal effort.

I thought this game had been panned by most of the critics/GAF, I didn't know that there was "frothing demand" for an HD remake. I'm guessing this won't make it to Wii U if they do remake it tho.....:/

I'm hoping that if this is actually real, that SE bothers to fix the broken flowmotion system. Maybe introduce an actual progression of different flowmotion moves and allow to choose which moves to use just like any other skill in KH.

Real question is: will the game still be 14 hours long only?

I doubt they'd jump in and change whole mechanics. It'll probably be just a remaster with control changes like the rest of the remasters. That said, I don't know how much work you're talking about since I still haven't played this so who knows.

Hope it'll come with everything else to ps4 in a compete collection.

This game will be a hard sell because:
- there's an existing version in a living system
- it's the shortest KH game I believe
- it's only one game
- there's no remix version of it
- imagine that in full price compared to the other KH HD collections

Isn't that the only KH game left to HD? So are they going to do a solo release of that one?
Probably do a Kingdom Hearts 3 demo like Type-0 HD. I would be really suprised if they did a retail release at full price without including one but then again this is Square-Enix so it honestly wouldn't suprise me.
My friend called this game "Deuce Drop Shit Stance"

Is it that bad?
It's not that bad but it does have quite a few issues.

As long as it get more stuff.
Already completed it at 100% and still have the game, I don't see the need to repurchase it.

Release lateish 2015, include a download code for KH3 demo releasing in earlyish 2016.

Just bundle it for a 1.5+2.5+DDD PS4 collection pls thx.

Wha? Was it really that short for you? My playthrough took me like 46 hours. I didn't even do the optional stuff at the end of the game (like the secret boss).

Call it Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Final Mix HD with extra content and they can justify the solo release. Or it can be a PS4/Xbox One release with a demo of KH3 but let's be realistic here.

they put a KH3 demo and it'll sell like hotcakes

I dunno what Ultros' experience was, but I personally did a little looking around for the treasures in the worlds and mostly just did the main stuff and I think I got about 33 hours in my playthrough.

Ultros, what did you do?

Hopefully they just call it Dream Drop Distance Final Mix. Adding HD to the title would make it sound stupid
er

But there are only so many people in S-E Osaka. I would rather have the game planners working on KH3 and getting it done than wasting their time tying to improve a broken game for a cash-in re-release.

Yeah... DDD HD + KH3 Demo + Special side story movie is probably coming next year

I have no idea what they'll do for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Kingdom Hearts games though as we wait for KH3

I'd be fine if they gave it the FF Type-0 HD treatment. Solid upgrade with demo for next game. $60.

2016: KH Theatrythm
2017: KH PS4 ultra collection
2018: KH Theatrythm Final Mix

Let's go!

I would definitely double dip to play through the Fantasia world again. The Hunchback world was a pile of shit though.

Is he a credible source?
I guess he mostly is? His speculation is all over the place sometimes but he's mostly right with some exceptions. Things change incredibly fast in this industry so I guess that other PS4 game will get released in 2015.

I like DDD a lot but it can really use a revision. Flowmotion is pretty much the game's biggest issue and I love the way it feels. So really it's balance but yeah. It's a shame too because this is the KH game that brings the more platform-y elements of the first game back only to have them be completely skipable.

Flowmotion can be disabled like any other skill too if I'm not mistaken. Did they intend to have you unlock it later in the game or what? That doesn't make much since it would still cause issues for the later worlds if available from the start. I haven't played it in a while but maybe an unlock on a world by world basis would work? That shouldn't be too hard to implement.

To me some fixes like that would warrant a purchase for sure, single game or not. Hope it happens. :s
