Dream Drop Distance HD coming?

I like DDD a lot but it can really use a revision. Flowmotion is pretty much the game's biggest issue and I love the way it feels. So really it's balance but yeah. It's a shame too because this is the KH game that brings the more platform-y elements of the first game back only to have them be completely skipable.

Flowmotion can be disabled like any other skill too if I'm not mistaken. Did they intend to have you unlock it later in the game or what? That doesn't make much since it would still cause issues for the later worlds if available from the start. I haven't played it in a while but maybe an unlock on a world by world basis would work? That shouldn't be too hard to implement.

To me some fixes like that would warrant a purchase for sure, single game or not. Hope it happens. :s

Yeah, I would love for the HD version to double as the Final Mix version. I could see the game acting as a testbed for some of the mechanical changes being considered for KH3.

We need a full Dream Drop Distance: Final Mix rather than just a simple HD remaster. That game has some serious issues that need fixing.

The true question is... Will it be on PS3, PS4, or both?

lol vita

:(

PS4 seems like a no-brainer, right? It would be a good project for introducing the KH team to the console, the PS4 will be the most viable platform for a mid-late 2015 release, and it would tie into SE's desire to broaden the PS4's install base in Japan as much as possible.

Making it cross-generational would also make sense, but I guess that depends on what SE intends to accomplish with the game.

Make a full HD collection with DDD in 2015 for X1 and PS4 to catch everyone up before KH III in 2016, sounds great.

I bet it doesn't come to wii u ...

I hope it does but if not it isn't the end of the world as I can get the 3DS version

Don't be shocked. The collection is already Playstation exclusive and back when BBS came out they didn't even digitally release it. Square Enix likes avoiding the common sense thing to do.

I don't get why Square Enix made the collection Playstation exclusive when Kingdom Heart 3 is also getting released for the Xbone. Any new comers to the series is going to be so lost.

I could see them cancelling the Xbox One release in Japan due to poor sales.

It would make perfect sense to offer a HD release of this game; its canon is a huge lead up to KH3.

It's not a bad game, either. The worlds are big, combat is satisfying, the dream eater pets aren't terrible to deal with in form or function, and It has one great twist that I still get emotional about.

They need to do more than just turn up the resolution and textures for this one.

DDD suffered from really empty, lonely worlds, and playing it on a home console with a big screen will only make them feel even more devoid of life.

Yeah, on top of some more content, there's some serious fundamental balance changes that need to be made.

It definitely has enough content to justify a console release.
Yeah for like ten dollars. All of the worlds are empty as hell and there's no postgame content to speak of.
But there are only so many people in S-E Osaka. I would rather have the game planners working on KH3 and getting it done than wasting their time tying to improve a broken game for a cash-in re-release.
This too. Not sure who would actually work on the vast amount of improvement it needs.
