OK Tuesday night is live rally night! This week it's Canadian tracks, the event kicks off at 9pm but please be online before then to give yourself a good chance of getting on the server (12 player limit remember).

Plan is to run through 7 events, circuits and P2P tracks. Let me know either on here or via psn if you want in and I'll reserve you a place - if we have spare places at 8.55pm then we'll send invites out to friends lists etc.

Last week was really good fun so try to make it on if you can :)

I'm down.

Don't say thaaattttt :(

Oi, that one-77 is a fat arsed bitch that you couldn't keep straight on a runway.

She might be a page 3 stunna but she's lousy in bed.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I don't usually pick that car in tour events or MP races so I was surprised how much I had to fight to keep it on the track. I'll try to improve my time today or tomorrow, because the current one involves plenty of crashes. :D

I love the Aston.....just set a time of 14:05:708 on AnythingBut's challenge.

Got 3 huge corner penalties too so its definitely a improvable

improved it slightly to a 14.04.912 but I reckon a 14.02 is possible imho

Scratch that now a sub 14 mins is doable

Hey I know this is kind of a niche question, bu this seems like a decent place to ask...

Is anyone using a Logitech Force GT (ps3) using a PS3->PS4 Brook converter? (Or any method for that matter, even the crazy ones that have you plugging into your pc)

How is the experience? Does everything (including force feedback/resistance) work as intended?

Any info at all would be ultra appreciated! Thanks!

A bit of a tangent, but I played some Watch_Dogs and my... MY GAWD! I'm no driving expert, never was - I like the GTA V driving just fine, but WD's driving is the single most awful mechanic implemented... like ever?! It's awful.... awful! UGH. What has that to do with DriveClub? Well, that doesn't suck, thank god. :D

Play the Sebastian Loeb demo.

Man, I nailed the first corner with 2200+ points and then I got nervous and screwed up corner 2.. Ah well, 57-something Points total isn't all that bad.

So I successfully jinxed Auctopus!

Great evenings rally with these guys, Auctopus led for the first three events then DavidRicardo took over but as you can see it was very closely fought till the end. We had an epic 5 lap Sesto Elemento race around Sinclair Pass to decide it - some fantastic lighting in this as it changes from day to night and the storm clouds roll in :)

Well done to DavidRicardo, thanks to everyone who took part and see you all for the next one!

Well done, David. The lead you had purely on that Maplewood time is amazing. Happy with that result seeing as Canada and Scotland are my worst.

I wish I could dedicate more time to this game, looks like you guys have a lot of fun with all this competition organised here.

It's a shame I wasn't on gaf when the game came out, when I used to play it a lot more.

At the moment I can't even keep up with the thread, let alone your times. :p

Rushy, any chance you'll include the M2 at a later date? Shouldn't be as difficult as an entirely new model, as you already have the M235i in the game.

It's usually Tuesday nights at 9pm GMT.

It's not as hot-headed as it might come across on here, it's just a laugh and it's fun. Don't worry about your times.

Yeah I just mean I'm too busy most of the time. Then I say that and I've spent 30 hours on Digimon this week. I love racing games especially Motorstorm (which is why I got this, oddly) but just haven't vested enough time into it, I think I would have spent a lot more if I engaged with a community like this, sooner. I haven't even hit the point where I've memorised the tracks in this game, and I'm level 50 something.

Need to get on and beat the challenge DHC sent me too. I got within half a second the other morning before work but now with SFV released it's hard to justify practicing on DC when I need to learn SFV before the community for that game leaps ahead of me.

Congrats to Auctopus and David. You guys killed it.

Thanks, Shannow for organizing and data aggregation. That last chart was really helpful. The 5 lapper at the end was great fun, even though I blew the chicane badly on the very first lap (and again on the second) and ruined any chance I had. This group is so good and so closely matched, you can't really make any mistakes.

I think we need more hardcore races. Those last two were great fun. The again, the cars acting like you're on ice when braking and turning, and the ridiculous wall penalties (even for just barely tapping the wall) kind of kill it.

Personally, it usually takes me a couple tries to warm up to a car and track, so in these rallies I usually blow at least one corner in the first lap as I try to remember the car and/or track. I need to find a way to get better at one off races.

I remember thinking I was doing OK on the night but losing a chunk of time through corner penalties on stage 1 and a spin on stage 5 really affected my night - finishing in the top 5 was good but if the other guys are right on your tail it doesn't really help - and yeah that last event really knackered your run, like you say you really can't afford to make any mistakes against such good opposition.

There seems to be a turn/section or two that I'm not doing optimally on Lock Duich and that adds up in a 10-lap race (AnythingBut's challenge). Knavish, did you save your replay?

no man sorry I didn't. Which corners are you talking about? I'm guessing the hairpin at the end of the front straight and the chicane at the end of the back straight?

Those two are my main suspects, yeah, coupled with that U turn which often surprised me how deep I could cut it without penalty. I'm probably doing something wrong/badly on at least one of them.

K man I'll try my best to explain.....

First Hairpin - you want to cut the corner on the right hand side approach and aim for the apex at the top of the hill (generally I'm in 6th up to cutting the corners, drop to 4th as you reach the apex and break really hard) the Aston should drift a little but keep the power down and you should get round. I've been using the sign on the left at the exit of the hairpin to see if I am doing well, usually if your around 115 mph as you exit the hairpin you should be good down the back straight.

Another marker is the bump in the road, you want to be around 145 mph and then shift up to 5th.

Chicane - is tricky too, basically just go as fast (usually about 170 mph) as you can cutting loads of the verge on the right and then flicking the car left (you'll want to cut a little of the verge on the left but not too much you will defo get a penalty here) without applying any accelerator or break. once you get the turn you'll get it nearly every time.

The following right hander is tricky too again cut the corner on the left and flick the car right while dropping 1 gear, you should get very close to the wall on the right but power it through and as long as you don't get too close (you may get a penalty) then your good.

The "u-turn" is good - you can cut that loads, but try and keep the revs high (press the accelerator on and off to minimise wheels spin) - again try and keep it at around 40mph here.

The last turn - I use the penultimate telephone pole on the left as the breaking point, really hard breaking and down to 2nd gear on and off the throttle as much as you can be while not drifting and then flat out all the way down the straight

Let me know if any of that makes any sense? we could do a pvt lobby later if you want me to show you man?

^ Aw, thanks! According to your tips and a few vids I've checked on YT I wasn't making any huge mistakes at how I'm approaching corners or taking lines, it seems; I'm just not doing them fast/good enough with One-77 ten times in a row.

"Git gud" would've been an appropriate advice for me, in other words. :)
