Drowning Simulator: How long can you last?

This was... odd.

It did remind me of my looming fear of ocean where you look down and it's just darkness. Damn ocean you scary.

The other thing that was odd to me about this is I swim in the ocean pretty frequently and I can basically float on my back nearly indefinitely, even if wearing a shirt. I guess this was supposed to be freezing cold water though?

It said I made it to 8 minutes but it didn't feel that long, mine had a lot of lag.

Why can't he turn the boat around in 5 minutes and why does he rip off his lose fingernail.

I've never actually swum deep in the sea either, but can't you just lie back and float like in a pool?

I thought he was going to use his shoes as flotation devices rather than kicking them off.

I actually do know some idiots like this. can't swim, don't wear lifejackets, and take out boats on lakes, rivers, and oceans. some people are just clueless.

It doesn't load in IE at all for me, and in FF I hear the ocean but all I see is a black screen with

Sortie en Mer
- A trip out to sea -

in the center. What is supposed to happen?

2:27 seconds no cheating, using a damn laptop scroll. Forearm tired as shit. With a good quality pair of headphones, it is pretty intimidating being alone in the ocean in the middle of nowhere.

Why didn't his "friend" helped him?

I apparently lasted more than 5 minutes. Not sure if there's an "ending" to this.

I only made it a minute my first time, I didn't realize you have to scroll down instead of up. Seems counter-intuitive.

This reminded me of almost drowning at a beach- I swam out too far during low tide and when high tide came I was getting tossed around and forced underwater by the waves, pulling me further and further back from the shore. There was a lifeguard, thankfully. When I got back on the beach I puked some seawater and fell asleep on my back for an hour. I got the worst sunburn of my life that day. Skin was peeling off. It was gross.

4:41, I stopped after one of the hallucinations and it just took me under before I scroll him back up.

So out of curiosity, what's the longest one could expect to live in the ocean assuming you did have a life vest? I reckon the most immediate danger is hypothermia but what's the average case scenario for someone stranded in the ocean with a flotation device? I suspect Charles would have killed me whether or not I could last more than 5 minutes. Or some local predator would have taken an interest.

A man and his wife who got lost at sea in the 80s resurfaced around 1991, they'd even raised a family whilst floating, it was a hard life but they made it work.

Redid it and got 5:01.

Charles is a fucking dick.

Yeah, in this scenario I don't think a life vest would have done much more. Though maybe it would have led to a faster recovery and a better chance of getting back on the boat initially.
