Drowning Simulator: How long can you last?

I survived 8:19, I have a very strong index finger after much Diablo 3 clicking and decades of scrolling through webpages. My mouse is a regular logitech m510.

edit: I got an 8:34 on my second try, think I'm done for the night.

A lot of you guys seem to die around 5 min, what the the last part you are seeing? The floating teddy bear, taking off your shoes, tearing off your finger nail, seeing the fake diver or seeing the fake boat? And Charles is either a murderer who is banging your wife or the most incompetent idiot in the world.

edit: the last thing I saw was the boat as well, so I must have spent more time bobbing up and down in the water. So by the time you see it you're probably already screwed.

Got to 5:57, though I was alternating between scrolling and jamming the up key with both hands. Dunno if that counts as "cheating."

Drowned at 5mins 13secs. The program just didn't allow me to continue as I was easily moving my mouse wheel to keep him afloat unless I was doing something wrong?

Not cool but the message of the program is completely clear: wear a life jacket, folks. Doesn't matter how good of a swimmer you are.

Didn't make it too long before my fingers started to cramp.

Full video does the job. Hell with that. I would be terrified in that situation because I have no idea what's lurking beneath me or what's around me. I like to think I am an okay swimmer but being in those depths with nothing else around me would just spook the hell out of me and probably cause me to panic and tire out easily.

That's my biggest fear of the sea and lakes. Also, knowing that the waters is incredibly deep strikes my fear further even though I am considered a good swimmer. I hate that feeling, I could never shrug it off unless I was in a "sink or swim" situation.

Ok guys lets pretend...

Lets pretend you're in the middle of the ocean, floating, it's nighttime, cold, the only light you have is the moon that's giving perfect visibility, you look down and all you see is this pitch black bottomless ocean.... All of the sudden you're getting tired... You can't swim anymore... And you submerge underwater tired... You're sinking... You can hardly keep your eyes open since life is fading away... You close your eyes and open them again and look up as you keep sinking to see this...

This is the last thing you saw before you died....

This is my biggest fear.

Hey, at least you got to see something beautiful before you died. it is like the moment of your birth all over again but in reverse.

That was not much like my experience of drowning. Granted, mine was on a lake at night, but the scariest parts can't be experienced via a screen, as they involve that moment your lungs fill with water, and you're suddenly "breathing" a liquid, and the inability to tell which direction is up. Still pretty creepy, though.

I already know not to fuck with the ocean. Cool video though. I'd suggest it could be more interactive since scrolling was kind of boring, but I think I've had enough nightmare fuel for the day.

You won't see that unless you're wearing goggles or a mask. It will likely be a blurry blob of light.

Did you see the birds and the church?

Um, 31 seconds? I was scrolling fast as fuck and then all of a sudden it seemed like it wasn't registering my scrolling at all. Maybe it broke.

So while sitting there scrolling over and over enjoying the interesting web thingy. I was thinking of something witty to put into this thread, didn't really care if I drowned or not, just kept going waiting for something good to come into my head I could then post.

Then my fucking mouse wheel broke. It no longer clicks, the friction is gone and it doesn't register. I drown.

Thanks for breaking my mouse guys ...

using any manner to survive isn't cheating...

telling us that you lasted 9 minutes simply by pressing the up button, when you used a scroll wheel is just lying
