Just go to any places that sells gases for industrial use. If they ask what it's for, tell them you're doing a project at school or something.

What is dry ice exactly? And what was that ice-like looking thing they had in Kingdom of Heaven? They had freezers back then?

Smells faintly of rancid stilton.

When I was a little kid the teenagers in my neighborhood used to get it from the ice cream truck. I guess the guy would sell em a chunk for a buck. I dunno, prolly illegal or something now. I'm pretty sure the guy just pocketed the cash.

WTF why is it when I click on this thread, I get prompted to connect using my dial up connection, and when I refuse and click out of this thread I get asked if I want to work offline or connect? Is there a virus on the board?

You can put a drop of liquid nitrogen in the cup of your tongue and not suffer any ill effects.

Swallowing the liquid nitrogen however...

Yeah...you can actually play around a lot with LN, splashing it and stuff - most of it evaporates before it does any damage...just don't submerse, or keep contact for too long...

You think liquid nitrogen is fun, you should try playing with mercury.

Ahhhhh mercury, sweetest of the transition metals.

(theres a reason you're not supposed to, the whole "insanity" thing but hey)

I used to play with mercury all the time as a kid... then my physics teacher in school said we're not supposed to... ummm, too late?
