Crap I cracked open Nintendogs and attempted to power on my DS only to realize that the DS won't power on at all....

I assume it's either the battery or something else wrong with it so I have two questions:

1. Has anyone had their DS crap out on them and refuse to power on at all?
2. Is the DS battery the same as the GBA battery? I'd like to test to see if it's the battery or something else before I run out and buy one and I can use my GBA for that purpose...

The DS and SP batteries are very similar -- snipping off a small plastic stub on one of them will allow it to work in the other.

That's all I know.

I believe it's slightly different.

An SP battery won't fit if you try to put it in, but some people have had some success filing down some bits.

Technically all batteries are still under warranty and Nintendo can usually get you a replacement in a couple days.
