Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg
Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes - it's a duck blur
You might solve a mystery or rewrite history

DuckTales, Oo-ooh!
Tales of daring-do, bad and good luck tales, oo-oo

D-d-d-danger, watch behind you - there's a stranger out to find you
What to do? Just grab onto some DuckTales, oo-ooh!
Not pony tails or cotton tails but DuckTales, oo-ooh!

When it seems they're headed for the final curtain
Bold deduction never fails, that's for certain
The worst of messes become successes!

Duck Tales, Oo-oo
Tales of derring-do, bad and good luck tales, oo-ooh
Not pony tails or cotton tails but Duck Tales, oo-ooh!

Some times some crimes
Go slippin' through the cracks
But these two gumshoes
Are pickin' up the slack

There's no case too big, no case too small
When you need help just call

Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
Rescue Rangers
Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
When there's danger

Oh no, it never fails
They'll take the clues
And find the wheres and whys and whos

Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Yeah, that movie was cool. I remember seeing that in theaters. Disney had some awesome television shows back in the day, with this, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck and Tailspin.

On that note, I'm going to download all this stuff come Monday when my new laptop arrives. I didn't know this stuff was available, but it is, so it'll be mine ASAP.

Tale Spin > Duck Tales. Wouldn't mind both on DVD though. For my future children, of course. ;)

I love the theme song. I was just going on and on in #ga a few days ago about how Yu-Gi-Oh and all that crap is rotting my little brother and cousin's mind...and that I will search until the day I die for DVDs of Fraggle Rock (available IIRC), Duck Tales, Salute Your Shorts, and assorted others....

Where is the song to end all songs from Chip n' Dales Rescue Rangers?

"Come along, you belong
Feel the fizz of Coo-Coo Cola!
It's the cola for making you proud.
Take another sip and be one of the crowd!
Feel the fizz of Coo-Coo Cola!

Come along, you belong
Feel the fizz of Coo-Coo Cola!
Get to the store and take all you can carry.
We've got the flavors, orange grape and cherry!
You belong with Coo-Coo Cola!

Come along, you belong
Feel the fizz of Coo-Coo Cola!
It's bottled in Pensacola!
Come along, Coo-Coo Cola!
You belong, Coo-Coo Cola!"

It's time for An-i-man-i-acs
And we're zany to the max
So just sit back and relax
You'll laugh till you collapse
We're An-i-man-i-acs

Come join the Warner brothers
And the Warner sister Dot
Just for fun we run around the Warner movie lot
They lock us in the tower whenever we get caught
But we break loose...
And then vamoose...
And now you know the plot

We're An-i-man-i-acs
Dot is cute and Yakko yaks
Wakko packs away the snacks
While Bill Clinton plays the sax
We're An-i-man-i-acs

Meet Pinky and the brain
Who want to rule the universe
Goodfeathers flock together,
Slappy wacks 'em with her purse
Buttons chases Mindy
While Rita sings a verse
The writers flipped
We have no script
Why bother to rehearse

We're An-i-man-i-acs
We have play for play contracts
We're zany to the max
There's baloney in our slacks
We're An-i-man-ee
Totally and zany
Here's the shows namey
An-i-man-i-acs
Those are the facts!

:D

the funny thing is, when I was like 8 or 9 I used to get this disney magazine and they'd print comics based on these cartoons... anyway, for awhile they did darkwing duck stuff, and I came to realize that the show was actually in some ways a parody of superhero comics.

Wow, this thread brings back memories... I watched and loved everyone of these shows. Old school disney toons > all other cartoons then or since.

Ducktales was on the short list of the greatest cartoons ever. The theme song is probably second or third all-tme for me for cartoons. The two that I feel are better (theme songs) are Rescue Rangers and Gummi Bears. Gummi Bears in particular was excellent. If it was raining outside, and then the Gummi Bears theme song played, the sky would instantly clear up and the sun would shine through. No, I'm not exaggerating. :D

I remember a few years back, during my miserable days of working until 3am at a restaurant, the only thing that could wake me up at a reasonable hour was DuckTales. It was on at 11am or something on the Family Channel. I really needed my nostalgia at that point. I watched a lot of Saved By The Bell, too, now that I think of it. :lol

For the record,

Duck Tales > Tale Spin > Gargoyles > Darkwing Duck

Chip 'n Dale doesn't really fit in. It was geared towards an even younger audience, IIRC.

And yeah, the DuckTales was movie was great. But I haven't seen it since around when it came out.

Memories...

Sometimes I still think it's every man's dream to dive into an endless pool of MONEY; what can possibly beat that? Oh and the movie was ace.

I wish I could remember the gummi bear theme, because I remember liking it. I loved the Winnie The Pooh theme, too. Winnie the Pooh on saturday mornings was like a go-happy sedative.

The theme songs still get stuck in my head every once in awhile, even though I haven't seen any of them in forever. Randomly I'll just start saying "when there's trouble you call D.W."

I had a thing for Gadget Hackwrench. =/

lol, it reminds me somethin.

I used to call my ex-girfriend : "My angel of the night"

Same as Goliath calling his gargoyle girl.

Well I got screwed just as Goliath did. :p

You guys scare me, I was singing all of these show themes this morning around the time the topic was made. GET OUT OF MY HEAD. Ducktales is definitely my favorite though.

Yu-Gi-Oh is not crap. Yu-Gi-Oh >>> DuckTales in every department. TV show? Yes. Videogames? BIG Yes. Movie? Definately. I really didn't like DuckTales when I was growing up. Every other Disney show was about talking ducks... never understood that.

I'd go on the line to say 80's disney > anything I've seen come out of Japan thusfar (which is admit is limited)... I'm sure many would agree.

The cartoon, yeah, I agree. But the song kicked all kinds of ass. :D

Oh hell yeah! I remember playing the Nes Ducktales game and listening to the opening theme and the words would pop in my head to it. I was always more partial to Darkwing Duck, but you have to respect Ducktales. Disney cartoons really rocked back then; I think at some point whenever they made an animated movie, a TV series would follow, and Aladdin turned out the best out of all of them.

Say what you will about Chip N' Dale the tv show, I know I didn't care for it that much, but the videogame on floppy disk is where it's at.

Darkwing duck, Gargoyles, Ninja Turtles, what goes bump in the night, batman the animated series, reboot, animiacs, ren and stimpy , beasties/beast wars, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Earthworm jim the cartoon.

These were all shows I loved and then the japanese and their perverted porno cartoons infected my mind.

I think a lot of WB's/Cartoon Networks cartoons surpasses all Disney (Afternoon) cartoons except Gargoyles. Still, Disney's cartoons make for great children entertainment.

Anyway, how much longer till the Gargoyle DVDs come out?
