So Whiteman and I went and saw The Bravery last night, pretty good show, the band got better through the night. But the crowd was really into it. First time in years I have seen crowd surfing in numbers. Anywho, a couple guys crowd surf during some songs, and one made it to the stage. Security promptly grabbed him and kicked his ass outside. So more people keep crowd surfing, and then this girl starts to crowd surf. Pretty big girl, probably 5'9" or so, but wearing like 4 inch heels. She could kill someone with those. She starts getting thrown around and she makes it to the edge of the stage feet first. Well the security guard just runs up their and just grabs her by the ankle and starts yanking on her and dragging her off the stage. She then starts to put up a struggle, flopping around like a fish out of water, so then the security guard grabs her arm and starts dragging her from there. So this guy has her by the arm and leg and just dragging her across the stage. Whiteman and I are in tears because it was so funny. The girl is pulled out and instantly walks straight out of the Showbox. Rest of the concert was alright. But the dumb bitch stole the show!!

I also remember the lighting setup being abominable. It was actually a pretty decent show, and they had the crowd going pretty well.

That's hillarious. I saw The Bravery when they were in Seattle last April at their free instore, but no amusing stories, sadly. And yes, Whiteman, I did have them sign a 7".

How were Maximo Park?

So are The Bravery worth seeing live or not? They're playing two shows near me soon and my friend and I are debating whether or not to catch one. On Conan or Leno or whatever they were on not long ago, they didn't look all that exciting.

I didn't like them. I found them pretty boring.

That's too bad, I really enjoyed A Certain Trigger.

So are The Bravery worth seeing live or not?

They have a lot of energy and really get the crowd fired up. I'm sure many of my much more elite brethren may beg to differ, but yes, go see The Bravery.

The Bravery are fucking awesome. Can't wait to see them with Depeche Mode.
