Dungeon Crawlers I'm obsessed ....

[cough] DosBox[/cough]

****themadcowtipper does not support pirates, or emulators like Dosbox, stealing is wrong, and we have authorites to deal with that!!!****

Untold Legends (PSP)
Nightmare of Druaga (PS2)
Phantasy Star Online (GC/Xbox/DC/PC)
Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land (PS2)

Sacred (PC)
Divine Divinity (PC)
Beyond Divinity (PC)
Dungeon Siege (PC)
Dungeon Siege 2 (PC)

EDIT: Druaga and Wizardry are not multiplayer.

Just mention if they're mutliplayers or not please. Not that I mind but I'd know wich I can play solo and wich I can play with friends, thanks.

"Balgur's Gate - Multiplatform
Baldur's Gate 2 - Multiplatform"

Don't you fucking dare confuse people with Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate: "Dark Alliance".

1. It says dungeon crawlers in the title.
2. I can't care less about Balgur's gate on PC. I've tried it and it was utter shite.

Quoted for emphasis.

For the list, none of which are multiplayer:

King's Field: The Ancient City (PS2)
Shadow Tower (PSX)
Shadow Tower Abyss (import PS2)

The master of all dungeon crawlers, of course, would have to be a roguelike, probably ZAngband. All single player except MAngband, of course.

Also, The Bard's Tale is more than a little bit dungeon-crawly. Single player only.

Wasn't there a multiplayer AD&D dungeon crawler for the Xbox?
Yep, thanks! Forgot to add it to the list, I'm even playing it right now with a friend.

Edit: Yes because I don't like one game I suck :/
I've tried to play Baldur's gate a few times but I thought you had to control way too many characters for it to be a dungeon crawler, it's more of a tactics/rpg game.

Yes. And that's sad.

Jade Cocoon 2 is another single-player dungeon crawler with turn-based combat and monster collecting/breeding for PS2. More fun than it has any right to be, though possibly not quite in the style of games you're looking for.

Seriously, though, try some roguelikes. Omega is another fun (if horribly abusively flawed) one.

Wizardry 8 for PC is also a good dungeon crawler. You go outside and to cities, but basically you spend the majority of your time crawling around in dungeons fighting in first person. It's single player (at least I don't remember a multiplayer component existing).

Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter Expansion
Icewind Dale II

That should keep you busy for a LONG time. And don't be afraid of them because you didnt like Baldur's Gate... these games are pure action.

And I dont think the "you suck" thing was because you didn't like Baldur's Gate on PC. I mean, thats cool. It won't work for everybody.

I think its more because you called one of the greatest RPG's on either side of the ocean "utter shite"...

Icewind Dale series, you have to worry less about your party members, because the AI scripts work better.

Although if your not into all of these "tactics" kind of games, I suggest you check out "Dungeon Siege". Its a pretty fun game, and I thought that many of the early levels were a lot of fun. You have a party, but you don't really manage them... hell the game practically plays itself.

You might want to try Icewind Dale on the PC. It's more streamlined and focused on action than the other infinity engine games, and it is very well balanced.

Demon Stone was not a dungeon crawler. Demon Stone was a beat'em up like the two towers and Return of the King games by EA.

Ah. Haven't played it yet. Just assumed it was since it has the D&D/Forgotten Realms connection.

Some older PS games:

Azure Dreams
Torneko: The Last Hope
Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2

For the Gameboy:

Dragon Warrior Monsters (the original and both of the 2nd ones.)

For the PS2:

Nightmare Of Druaga

Ah hell, I guess I could just say any of Chun-Soft's games.

Or, you know...

You could just look for the original and still the best in it's charm and simplicity:

Rogue.

Just some suggestions.

Has anyone ever had success with playing Sacred co-op? Everytime I try to play LAN games, there's always game stopping quest bugs that won't allow us to continue. By the time they released Sacred Gold and it was still having problems, I gave up on it.
