I'll be damned if I can any place online that even tries to list is...
Edit - Ah well. So much for that. Thanks for answering the questions!
One disk was for the first D&D game. The second disk was for D&D: shadow of Mystara. You got both games in the collection.FoneBone said:Why'd it need two discs?
I guess that this is more of a question about the logistics of porting... unless I'm really mistaken, the arcade games, based on ROM sizes (I'm allowed to mention that, right?) wouldn't have even come close to taking up a single disc.sonic4ever said:One disk was for the first D&D game. White Man said:Anyone else sort of prefer the first game? I never even played the second one until earlier this year, and I was sort of disappointed with it. I didn't play it all the way through, though.
too bad we're not likely to see these games in the forthcoming Capcom Classics Collection(s) for current consoles.
"Power of Love!" -1st game
Actually, there never was a PS1 version. Tower of Doom was originally announced for both PS1 and Saturn in 1995 (and suppossedly finished on both) but it's release was halted for some reason. The Saturn version was reused for D&D Collection later on but D&D Collection was never announced for PS1, probably due to it's paltry 2MB of main RAM preventing any worthwhile porting of Shadow over Mystara.doncale said:also, the Playstation1 version of the D&D Collection was canceled.
Yep. Xing released a bunch of 2D arcade games from Capcom, Taito, IREM and Data East on both Saturn and PlayStation. I've never played the PS1 port of Captain Commando myself though, just the CPS and SNES versions.sonic4ever said:Didn't Xing release Captain Cammando for the PS1, in Japan? I always wished they would have released that game for the Saturn. Has any one played the PS1, Captain Cammando? Jarrod, didn't Xing release Bubble Symphony for the Saturn?
It's pricey, too. Goes for around Y7,000 and above in Akihabara.jarrod said:Yep. Xing released a bunch of 2D arcade games from Capcom, Taito, IREM and Data East on both Saturn and PlayStation. I've never played the PS1 port of Captain Commando myself though, just the CPS and SNES versions.

Yes sir!PanopticBlue said:You wouldn't hapen to have a list of the arcade ports Xing released for saturn and ps1 would you? I'd like to see it if so.
PanopticBlue said:Wow, I had no idea Night Striker ever got a console release! If I'm remembering correctly, this is the Space Harrier-esque game with a futuristic theme right? Do you know the differences between the SS and PS1 versions, and are they good ports? I might have to track that down.
It's quite possibly rare, but I still got it for 300 yen (or less?) in Aki during TGS '04. ^_^Lyte Edge said:IIRC Nightstriker is actually a pretty rare game now.
The second game has some obvious strengths (a more elaborate weapons/magic system comes to mind), but I like the first for some more subtle reasons. I felt the character art, voice acting, and music meshed better in the first.
