Because Netflix provides me with an amazing opportunity to watch movies that I'd never spend $5 (rental) or $10 (theater) on. Fair enough?

Yeah, they made a 2nd. Takes place like 100 years later. Damodar is (kinda) the big bad. Same actor from the first one. Everyone else is (obviously) different.

Ismer now looks like some run-down European hamlet. What happened to the towering spires and high society from the first movie? For that matter, why do they have a King now, when they had an Empress before. Ugh. Awful.

Actually, I think the 2nd was slightly better. Horrible story, characters, and special effects... but slightly better acting (!)

I really did not expect much of anything when I went into the first one (first day, baby!) but I was still disappointed.

D&D is #2 on my list of Truly Awful Movies I Shamefully Enjoy Watching, one spot behind the criminally overlooked Torque.


But even I have zero desire to see the second one, I just assume you can only get a crap script, bad actors, low budget, slumming thespians, awful CG movie turn out so "well" like that once.
