A good week for older movies in boxed sets.

(I already have the remastered Metropolis, but nothing else in that box.)

Another thing that catches my eye is this:

I am waiting on Shrek 2 from Columbia House DVD... I only need one or two more selections to cancel this crappy service... No Disney, No Buffy/Angel DVD Collections, No Star Wars, No Indiana Jones...

Elf is pre-ordered and that should be the day I cancel my account... I will never join this club again... or will I...

No must buys really. Waiting for Iron Giant next week. And you know, I've noticed there is no way my dvd collection will ever be where I want it to btw. Just this week dvd did it again to me. Already a special edition I bought, they go and rerelease it with more stuff. This time with Ultimate Michael Jordan. I bought this thinking I wont have to buy another MJ thing besides the Bulls dynasty. Well, They rereleased MJ's collection with 6 full length games. My dvd doesnt have one! This has the best stuff at the same price. The 69 dropped on Cleveland, the 63 on the Celtics, and a whole lot of other must owns. I was pissed. I think I may rebuy it..

then add to that fact that looking through the dvd's recently, I seen so much other shit I need to own I didnt even know were out. ugh, screw dvd. Anyway, thankfully no other dvd's this week are must buys. But, some stuff that I had to respond to

Yes. Die Nibelungen is also previously released. Spies and Woman in the Moon are new--both of those have had the same total overhaul that Kino's Metropolis had. Woman in the Moon was originally less than 90 minutes in the US release: now it's 169 minutes.

Problem is that the box is $100 MSRP, but the individual films are $30 with Die Nibelungen at $40. So if you already have Metropolis, you still have to spend $100. And everyone that's interested in this set probably has the Kino Metropolis already.

I picked up Before Sunset. I never got a chance to catch it in the theaters, but I absolutly loved Before Sunrise so I knew I had to buy it. Plus it was only $14.99.
