if anything, the $249 pricing (and the emphasis on "digital media", no disc drive, and new syncing application) makes this more of an ipod touch/zune competitor rather than a straight up DS competitor.

Of course, that may not exactly work out for them, but it doesn't seem quite as crazy as $599 imo.
